I got attacked by a gang about 2 nights ago.. Already posted this on pg.net but thought I might as well share it with ppz here, especially those who are having a crappy xmas..

(My head got split open and the damage went to the skull.. no fracture fortunately and I'm no more retarded than usual!!)

Attached the pic of my head-staples, there's other injuries too but that was the more painful and worrying.... ;)

Down here in DC, it's absolutely nuts. I went down to the Capitol to visit my dad, and I was checked by these security guards with bazookas, I kid you not.

It kind of takes the lustre off of the season. I made my peace that she was going a few months ago but it's still a blow. However, I am thankful she went quickly and painlessly and that she is in a better place now.

The holiday season has become so commercialized over the years that the basic tennants of the season become secondary and that makes us weary and at times resentful of the season. This year I hope everyone takes the time to thank the people closest to them and let them know you love them. They're simple words that sometimes we take for granted but that over everything is what the holiday season represents.

Method, i'm sorry to hear what happened to you. Being injured is unpleasant at the best of times - but I know that having been set apon by other human beings (if you could call them that) makes it alot harder to deal with.

Mojo, My thoughts are with you especially. If anyone here know's what you're going thru, I do, My mother died 10 days ago. Last night the family got together and opened our presents she had bought us. It was an extrememly emotional time. all the best to you and your family.

Sorry to hear that, mojo. I lost my grandfather last month as well, it's the first Christmas without him, so it's tough in our family as well. I'm so sorry, but I hope you make through this holiday season, I'll keep you in my prayers.

The others that also had losses in the family, i can only offer my condolences. i to am dealing with 2 very ill parents, one of the reasons Im not here as much as i would like. The other is that in dealing with this problem, I had some health issues, as I already had a heart attack, and my blood pressure was through the roof, i was prescribed some meds that almost killed me. When your relaxed pulse rate is hitting near 130 you do have a problem.

Thanks everybody I appreciate the kind words. She had been so sick for so long we knew she didn't have long but it was still a shock. And even though I miss her immensely I am consoled by the fact that at least the pain she went through in her final months was minimal and that her family was with her at the end.

Lastly, I want to send my condolences to everyone who has lost someone recently. Find the strength in family and friends and you'll be ok.
