I downloaded Trojan Remover 6.0.2. and while it was scanning my computer, it came across a trojan and asked me if i wanted to get rid of it. and of course I said yes. and after that, everytime i restart my computer, a program called Runonce comes up and explains some sort of Conventional Memory Loss problem. And when i try to open a program like Norton Anti-Virus, Adobe Photoshop, or Windows Media Player, it either loads and does nothing or says "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
So I uninstalled the Trojan Remover 6.0.2. program and it told me that if I uninstall Trojan Remover that i have an option between removing a program that 'might affect other programs'. so not knowing what the hell it was talking about, i pressed 'Yes To All' to delete it.

It says everything is an invalid Win32 application. I cant even go to Run/msconfig to see what this Runonce shit is.
Ive been havin troubles with my comp for days now and i dont know what to do.
If anyone can help, please drop a line

I've used TR for over a year now without any problems...of course I never had a Trojan to remove, except test trojans.
If you have XP or ME, you can do a System Restore..before you installed TR and it should fix the problem.

I wouldnt of uninstalled it, it may have saved the info to put back in the system. Even if it found a trojan it would tell you what file or program folder it was in. I would restore or even reload windows.. This time, all you need to do is have kazaa and file a virus scanner that is free and have uploads for a year.. i wont say which program for example norton or avg.

Have you fixed your other problems you had the other day?

Also, can you run the sfc.exe utility?

I downloaded Trojan Guard and it helped my previous problems. but for some reason i just had to download Trojan Remover for more help. and it ended up screwing me further.

when I try to run the sfc.exe, it says that it is also an invalid Win32 application.
Im really lost and stressed out. i dont know what to do

Can you run scan disk? If not you may have to reinstall windows but hopefully Krell or Cpu may have other suggestions.

If you knew what files you deleted you could replace them. It seems that installing the app that deleted them should replace them.
But I think this is more than likely gonna be a learning lesson for you and you will likely need to re-install windows.

You tried re-installing that trojan app and it didn't replace the files?

If you still have problems and have no way of figuring out what files are missing. Re-install windows or do a system roll back.

One of the reasons scandisk would not work is you had a hidden process running. More than likely that trojan.
