Please, don't flame me if it is a solution already discussed in the past (but I never saw it anywhere).

As a mean to end completely the lawsuit threat:

1) disassemble one of the latest virus
2) disable - of course - any evil payload
3) set it up so that its actions are the following:
enable write access of a directory, e.g. ...\ViralP2P\incoming
start a basic P2P client, modified accordingly
replicate

Since antivirus programs still are not mandatory by law, I don't see how RIAA can now prove that the mp3s in my directory were put there by me and not by this virus.
To make it work, we just need to write the virus, and let it soar in the top charts.

and what do u me disassmble a virus?
u have to assemble a virus to make it work
when you disassemble something you are taking it apart to see what it does. thats the difference. but also u can disassemble the virus and take part of the virus code and use is for something else.

but there are different forms of viruses, mutated, as well as compressed viruses etc. so riaa can use the viruses for attempting to destroy p2p but it backed fired as u will read why below.

and there have been viruses out to topple p2p.

just to add to it, when the viruses that was used to stop p2p it only backfire, i mean it only made people wiser, and made them careful and not want to use a particular p2p program.

but p2p is still strong, and no amount of viruses are going to disable p2p users.
