CORRUPTERBUSTER
December 22nd, 2003, 10:00 PM
Like other forms in other places you get under some ones fingernail and they push you aside because your words are too much for them. (Laughs) at which point does it say in the rules that you can’t protect yourself. So for the new readers of this new thread I am going to cover ever thing that I can so that no one gets the wrong Ideas, or makes up their own conclusions.
As I posted before there is a company out there that is preparing to release a new version of their already popular software sometime in the spring or early summer. This company has spent a lot of money to build this system to provide their users with legal way of downloading their music from the internet. I have already posted a full layout of how this system works, and as I predicted in the last posting some people were against the idea because it cost money to become a member.
When I heard about this new plan I felt the same way as many other people who posted in here against the Idea. Where does the money go? How come there is a fee to join such a system? I get free music from Kazaa, and for a few of us, we know that in one year of downloading you get more then just one corrupted file, no need to lie or deny that posting.
Let us get back to the new age of Music I call it M2M because it is only music and does not allow the user to share anything but music files. The concept of this new idea really is something. We are going to have people at this point,(you know the know it all people) say that this change over isn’t real. As I was talking about the concept of the whole thing, they are really going over board here to offer people something that they never had before. I am telling you this straight up, there has been nothing like this in the internet not ever so you know it alls just keep on reading and I will tell you how the system is going to work.
Can anyone in here tell me how Apple got all their songs for the program? Do you think that they went to the local Wal-Mart and purchased the music? I bet most of you thought of that. Nope, all that music that they have is from file of people like us who at one time downloaded of their products, and during the clicking deal you didn’t read you gave them the right to scan your computer for wav.mp3 and all the other formats, once they had a good library they started out selling each song for .99cents and that isn’t the only company that has done that. If you don’t totally believe they have done this and have had their hands into your files on your computer your really a sorry case.
We are talking about the real world here, and here is a test to prove what I am talking about. If any of you have a membership with Apple or Music Match, or Roxie go to their music search, and put something in there that is a real performer but a song that performer did, like lets take Chicago, and when enter Chicago’s name and ask for all albums you are going to be missing around 4 of their albums, that is because during their searching of people’s files they never came up. So that pretty much puts out the production companies giving them the music to put onto their system. Or try Gordon Lightfoot and all the songs he has put out, you will find that over half of his songs have not been added into the system they are just not available. What gets me most about this, is the fact that they did this all under our noses and wasn’t wiser to it. Kind of makes you think how much more they found on your computer doesn’t it?
This new thing is going to use that same concept but at a different level. When you become a member, you give them the permission to scan your files for sharing; they only scan for wav, MP3’s and other formatted music files. It goes to their server and is scanned for all kinds of things, and then locked into their main Library, in all the formats that you could possibly want. When you become a member, you log into their system it is like a search engine something like Google. You put the name of the person you are looking for and when you hit the search it will bring up a whole directory of that one performer and all the songs that person did. Then all you have to do is hit download as many as you want.
Like I said before, I expect this system to be huge and once people catch on it is going to be a good market. One person mentioned in my past post that they only download a few songs a month, then no something like this wouldn’t be worth the $30.00 per-month because all you are is what some of us call you is a download delete, meaning you download what you want for a CD and then delete the files after you have them on the disk, why do you need to keep the song is you already have it on disk, there is nothing wrong with that.
There are some of us that are collectors; we keep the songs that we download, because it is more of a hobby to us then anything else. So you download deletes where do you get your music from? You get your music from us collectors. I have around 30 friends from Kazaa and we keep in touch with each other all the time and in a chat room not long ago we talked about all this stuff that is going on with the RIAA that is why I joined this forum just for that reason thinking for some reason that you can get the support you need. I soon discovered that this forum is just like all the others you got your people who just set there and bad mouth anyone new and then kick them out when they speak out. Real cool move.
Does anyone know how many people now have gone underground and are so scared of the RIAA? Many, and these people are or were the best file sharers on the net. Yes F—K the RIAA because they are just blowing wind to me. That is why the people of this company want to release this new program, first off it gives people a chance to download their music that they want, without having to worry about the RIAA breathing down their necks. It is Music Sharing with a Twist, you pay for the membership where I think it is going to me millions of people once it really catches on, and mark my words as I write them, you watch and see how fast those bigger companies follow suit.
I am really going to be watching ITUNES, because if all of you read the news on the release Itunes for windows their download and pay only grew by 2%, Music Match, they have their download and pay, and their records show that they are not even making enough to keep a record of. So we all can see that this isn’t working. People want it for free and that is it, plane and simple. You see Apple and Music Match both thought that people would be going crazy and they would make the money, instead they found out that people were not running to their computers. It is a shame that didn’t work.
Now, we have this new company that is going to offer unlimited downloads for $30.00 Per-month, That really isn’t that bad, unless you have dial up, and if that is the case you would need a full month just to get an album downloaded. But for the people who have cable or T1 or fiber optic connections this would be the place to have a membership, in 30 days I could download many songs, I think I better buy a new hard driver first though.
Kazaa is good, and I get good downloads from there. But then that stupid company out in CA started up and started corrupting the music and it just starting getting me mad. We all know about that in last month’s post of mine. I tried many download places that are recommended by you good folks, and for as many downloads that I can download it one hour or in a whole night. It use to be that you could start to download leave your computer running and by morning you have everything but maybe four of the downloads; Now your lucky if you get 20 downloads the whole night. People are just not sharing anymore and they have their uploads turned down to maybe one or two downloads. How can we as a group change all this crap that the RIAA is doing.
Ok look, we all want something for nothing that much is true. When this new program gets released I am going to want to see your reactions at that point. Because I think this is going to be the stepping stone for many people and a huge step for the Internet. What is going to happen next, like what is going to happen with all these software companies like Kazaa and Morp? I think it is just going to get bigger and bigger until the stupid RIAA fails at their objective. Performers and going to start making more money, and the production companies are going to be a thing of the past. I really do believe that this company is going to do it right, if you do the math, and there are just 20 million people at the beginning who are paying $30.00 per-month for unlimited downloading for that one month? You do the math for a whole year, and you will start to see that in the long run our performers will be making more money. If you don’t believe that, take a good hard long look at the internet in just the past four years, you come up with the answer, you might not like me, you can down me all day long on here, you think I am crazy, nope not crazy just a person who is setting back watching others make fools of themselves. I rest my case you want to write to me please do, [email protected] I challenge anyone on this post.
