Here's Symantec's instructions on removal:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.horse.html

That should take care of it, it did for me.

you could get a trojan remover like The Cleaner (http://www.moosoft.com/products/cleaner/) or Trojan Remover (http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/)

I tried both The Cleaner and The Trojan Remover. The Trojan Remover Found no Trojans at all. Where as the The Cleaner found them so I will vote for them as for now

well all good ol trojans sit in ur system startup, this is true for trojans like orifice, sub7, netbus, girlfriend...and so on....

u can detect a trojan ur self in the following manner

start>run>msconfig>system startup

analyse all these items and if there is sumthing u dont understand or think its a trojan just use google to know more about it.

trojans usually sit in windows\system folder

another good way of detecting a trojan would be to use a firewall (zonealarm recommended) and see what all softwares want to access the net.

again remember all trojans usually sit in windows\system.

TIP: as soon as u connect to the internet a trojan would want access so it will be caught easily. other itmes like WMP or whatever are triggered or generally delayed in wanting access. a trojan would want access immediately as soon as connected icon appears.

this will help you find if ur infected with a trojan. and all the above said does not hold true for a virus. worm etc.
