That is freakin hilarious! Its amazing how stupid the industry thinks we are!

Anyhou, there is a 12 year old (go figure) DLing some tunes, and then a biohazard team storms his house, and locks him up.

"The illegal sites contain viruses, porn, and spyware"
"Go to Puretracks"

Priceless CRIA propaganda! So damn funny

I think its directed toward the non-tech saavy parental generation rather than the kids. Still pretty funny. Reminded me of the last few scenes of Resident Evil, lol.

I guess truth is stranger than fiction.

In the past there were mock ads of the record industry sending in troopers to lock up P2P users.

I guess they really mean it!

Yep, I saw that one. Freakin' hilarious.
If they really think the Canadian downloaders are stupid, they're wrong.
I'd really like to have 10 minutes to straighten out the idiot that actually buys that crap.

Oh no!!!! Porn! OMG I can't believe it has porn. Here I am, buying magazines like in the old days, and its on the internet for free?!?! WOW!

I can't wait to see what they come out with next. Can't possibly get worse. Can it?

It might only be the tip of the iceburg. You never know what they come up with.

Maybe they would do something stupid like have this person downloading music on this pc and the disc magicaly apears on the keyboard or something then go outside and see that all the stores are close for good. I don't know.

Umm, sorry to burst your guys' bubles, but the biohazard team don't take the kid away. They take the computer away because it got infected with a virus from the site he was downloading off of.

The site also blocks Firebird and doesn't like the fact that Proxomitron covers up some of the user-agent details in Internet Explorer. Funny thing is that if I switch Firebird to use IE's user-agent then the site renders just fine. Ignorant designers.

And for anyone who's wondering, the commercial isn't on their site. :(

They got another one, quite funny.

There are all these Porn people in this kids room, making out, doing kinky stuff, and there is yet another 12 year old (lol) downloading music. His mom comes in the room "what are you doing honey"

"Just downloading some music"

"Oh, ok dear,"

Just as funny!!

I used firebird with a public proxy in Can. Here it is 66.185.95.131:80 it allows me in now, I am in the US and it blocked me before I used this proxy. This is a PUBLIC proxy so I am not disclosing anything secret here.

Parents should be outraged that the RIAA (and friends) treat them like idiots, feed propaganda to them and compare their children to real criminals.

and talking of non-tech-savvy parents... have ya seen what mediadefender are doing?

http://www.mediadefender.com/parents.html

It only works on the fasttrack network... and ...it totally disables KaZaA rather than just filtering out the porn.

You pay $5 to cripple free software!!!

Parents should be told that their kids can just use Gnutella, WinMX, EDonkey/Mule, Morpheus, DirectConnect, BitTorrent, IRC or one of the many other options so wasting $5 to block out a crappy network is futile.

I'm going to be worried if people start buying into this propaganda. How naive do they think the general public is?

It like dealing with insurance salespeople. They feed off your ignorance and fear like parasites.
