I use IE6, because in my opinion, it is the least likely to render a page incorrectly (being one of the most popular; almost all pages are tested using IE). It's the only browser thats compatible with AdSheild (2.x versions, 3.x is not free), which I love so very much.
We all have our reasons for using things. Test many browsers, pick one (or more) that you like. Use it/them.

I've been using Firebird for a while. I prefer it over IE6. I don't know about any of the others.

I use opera cause it's a lot faster that the others with my slow connection. It has more features that all the others but firebird is also a very good one but still has a lot of bugs. Try them both and make your choice. Everybody will give you a different opinion so just do it yourself

MyIE2 works wonders for me. I've tried a few others, and pages seemed to load faster with MyIE2

That window shows up if you use outlook or your default client together with opera. Turn off the default and it should be fine. Check out the settings in opera too, make sure you got them right

I have to say that I've tried every major browser, and I like Firebird the best.
Oh, and once it hits 1.0, the current Mozilla will disappear, replaced with 'Mozilla Browser' (Firebird) and 'Mozilla Mail' (Thunderbird).
If only everyone used standards-compliant browsers...

i have used both and opera's features like mouse gestures rule... i didn't mess around much with firebird though so don't take my word for it...

At one point I used both Opera (7.02) and Firebird at the same time. I came to the conclusion that even though Opera was faster at times, it was f*ckin ugly and I preferred the simplicity of Firebird. It also didn't take as long to start up.
You have to keep in mind that Firebird is buggy still, as it is only at 0.7. If you don't feel good about that, wait until it hits 1.0, then decide.

i used internet explorer for a very long time, and then i tried firebird...the tabs won me over. and although some pages don't show up correctly that do in IE, that just reminds me that IE has made up it's own standards, and it really shouldn't render the code that's not really a part of the actual web standards.
i tried MyIE2, but i didn't like it...it's...just not the same. i'm more of a keyboard person, and with firebird some of my favorite keyboard shortcuts in the address bar:
Ctrl+Enter: adds http://www. and .com
Shift+Enter: adds http://www. and .net
Ctrl+Shift+Enter: adds http://www. and .org
i don't know what i'd do without those...and some of the shortcuts with the mouse wheel...like scrolling through tabs, and middle clicking them to close...
i love firebird. it's perfect for me.

I don't know when the last time you used MyIE2 was....but those features are in the version I'm using.
Its got mouse gestures, you can scroll through tabs, middle or double click to close, keyboard shortcuts.
I think my favorite feature though, is if I type something into the adress bar without a .com or whatever, it does a google search.
But if firebird works, why switch.

but does it allow you to make custom keywords for your own searches?
when i type "? keywords" it takes me to google
when i type "goto bittorrent" it uses i'm feeling lucky
when i type "irc matrix" it searches IRCSpy for the matrix
when i type "jigle office" it searches jigle for office
when i type "dict internet" it goes to dictionary.com's definition for internet.
i NEED that. if myie2 has it, i'd be willing to try it again. that's another one of my favorite features.
and i just think it's ugly...i like firebird.

it's pretty good so far...the only thing that's missing noticably is middle clicking on links to open them in a new tab (if it has it that will be awesome)
but it makes up for it with the browsing mode buttons at the bottom.

Never heard of this 'Mozilla Fireball', CJ, I'll have to give it a try ;-)
I have tried K-Meleon. It's based around the Gecko engine that Netscape 6+ and the Mozilla browsers use. To be honest, I found no advantage to it, but then I haven't used it much. I've also tried something called Beonex Communicator, which seemed to be a Mozilla clone...

If you click > drag a link it opens in a new window. Very fast forum browsing.
also, if you click the bright orange star in the status bar, it opens all links in new tabs...that in conjunction with the deselection of the "activate new window on click" button (the one to the left of the orange star in the status bar) should make very efficient forum browsing.
i'm just so used to middle clicking links, i keep doing it.

Opera is a very well designed browser, that is of course free unless you want the ad-free version. I have never tried mozilla b4 but from what I hear I would much better use it than IE6, ill give it a try. As of now Opera browser 0wns!
