I have seen at www.kazaa.com that I can download an ad free version of Kazaa for $29.99. My question is is it really ad free and does it contain any spyware?

Number one rule of p2p: Don't pay for any software. The paid version of Kazaa is probably ad-free, but you can get a much better client, kazaa lite k++, for free at: http://kppdate.kickme.to/ . It has no ads or spyware, and has many more tools than kazaa, such as downloading from 40 users instead of 8 that kazaa allows.

Peace and Love, Al

there is absolutely NO reason to pay for p2p. klite is still better than kazaa if you really really want to be on the fasttrack network.

besides that, not only are the majority of p2p apps better than kazaa (higher quality files, far less fakes/corrupt files), but they are also spy/adware free. try shareaza, emule, ares, winmx, dc++, soulseek, bittorrent. all will work better than not cost you a dime.

It really is ad free, for banners, as for spyware I honestly cannot say because I will never buy that poor quality software when you can get K++ for free.

K++ is much better because it offers unlimited "Search More," unlike Kazaa Plus offers and they don't seem to offer protection from the RIAA like K++ does.

Now about that small little issue about the development of K++ being ended, don't worry about it because phalkon says it is still under development here.

Why pay for it when you can get something like shareaza with NO spyware for free!! Besides the FT network is old and hasnt been developed for yrs.

One of the oldest p2p scams. Does anybody remember Kazaa Gold?

no, it's not a fake, like kazaa gold, it's real stuff, it's indeed adfree and spywarefree. but it's not buck-free :). i.e., it costs money. you really willing to pay?

Kazaa Plus features:

No Ads - no banners or annoying pop-ups while you search. - The main focus of K-Lite

Should you have a problem installing the application Kazaa Plus offers 24 Hour Customer Support by email. You wont need it, and if you do, that's what we're for.

'Search More' up to 15 times depending on your Participation Level. This means you can access up to 3,000 results per search. Search for as long as you like, as much as you like.

Schedule a search to run over 24 hours with the NEW Search Agent functionality. Seems stupid

Enjoy faster automatic downloads as a result of multiple sources increasing from 8 to 40 sources. Already included.

Customize your homepage within Kazaa Plus 'Web' view. Changed in K++ by default, though I personally dont like the KMD webbrowser.

Adjust your scan frequency for My Kazaa and control how often your shared files are scanned. Already included in K++

Limit uploads from your ‘My Shared Folder’ according to other users Participation. Stupid feature.

Conclusion: dont pay for it.

Additions of K++ - Windows XP style look, search for as long as you want, Tray tools, integration of Sig2Dat, Supernode tool, and My Shared Folder into toolbar, plus other stuff.

I noticed something funny. I typed in "file sharing" in google and noticed that Kazaa Gold is one of Googles sponsored links. Is it a thing that Sharmen is doing themselves? It looks like if it would be anyone else, it would be removed.

That's weird.

Kazaa sucks, but I just use Kazaa Lite. No viruses or spyware. Just the way I like it.

I would love to meet the scum sucking, leach bastards, that con people into paying for free p2p hook ups. I would let old Bender turn then into a human pretzel.

The "Ad free" $29.95 version of KaZaA Plus STILL comes with Altnet and P2Pnetworking that is known as "Spyware" by many adware removal tools like Ad-Aware, SpyBot and Spy Sweeper. Although people here say NEVER pay for P2P software you can always get an AD free version of Morpheus at www.MorpheusUltra.com or LimeWire PRO www.limewire.com or even Shareaza totally FREE and ad free at www.shareaza.com

Ares is free, has no ads, comes with a regular version and a "lite" version that uses less resources, and has no spyware. But then again its pretty much only good for music downloads.
