If anyone uses this I need help getting it running. I am new today to this bittorrent stuff. What do I need to do to download something using this program. All I did so far was download the program "TheSHADOW" and installed it. Now what do I do?

Go to www.suprnova.org using your web-browser.
Choose what you want and click it. Go back to the Shad0w client and choose where you want to save it. As simple as that.

I clicked on a game to download and the page would not open up...."this page cannot be displayed" Is there another program that I need to install to go with the shadow program?...I thought when I clicked on a file it would say, "save file in bla bla" but it just gave me a page cannot be displayed..

Suprnove is very unstable at times. Try refreshin the page to get another mirror (you can see which mirror is loading at the bottom of IE. I don't know about other browsers). Sometimes if you right click on the game you want and doing save as works. Just find where you saved it (it will end with .torrent) and double click it.

Traffic at suprnova is very high and bandwidth is limited. There are other sites available as well.

When you click the link (aka, the torrent), IF the server has enough bandwidth, Shadow's client will load and begin to DL the file.

Yes, SuprNova recently sent out a May-Day call for new mirrors, I believe Monday - they have them, the Comcast have been booted, they didnt work well. I seem to be having difficultly right now accessing it.

12-8-03 12:08 AM London Standard Time:

Ah, once again we are short on html mirrors. If you think you could provide a mirror please email me at sloncek@NOSPAMsuprnova.org (remove NOSPAM when sending email ;) ). In the email include the following data:
Username/Password
FTP address
FTP port
Site URL
and its max UPLOAD speed.

Also its max bandwidth should be over 30 GB minimum (month)
Please no home connections!
Thanks!
Greetings, sloncek

Got that from NovaSearch, it seems to be the only mirror I can get to work. If it doesnt download properly once you get the torrent and start downloading... IE... download rates suck and you cant upload... you must forward ports.

EDIT: WELCOME TO ZEROPAID!

Well I won't take this chance to fanboy since it is based on Shad0w. You said you are behind a college firewall BIGDOG_3. Is it not that blocking it?
I knew that they want mirrors Hawkburn, but the site was working OK when I went this morning. I'm not surprised they are struggling without Comcast. That is what I mostly got.
You can upload without port-forwarding, the problem is you don't get the credit for it.

Run Shareaza. It's simple for users new to BitTorrent. Plus, it has other networks too, so If you don't like Shareaza, you can do simple search and download too.
