Mine too...I've been having many more issues than it just being slow. I dunno what it is, perhaps we're getting BIGGER?

Same here, i traced it and it lost 80% of the packets.

It's been slowing down often now.

I have no problem... my dial up is flying suckers!

The Hunter
December 5th, 2003, 05:29 PM
bigger, well possibly, but 97 members, and visitors. the servers have handled that load before, but possibly not running this version of forum software.

haha method77 :-P

yea, i never had to worry about stuff like this back in the modem days... p2p was always using my connection full, and servers were never 'slow'.

I must be honest, my end doesn't seem too bad. It's slow, but ZP often is. It isn't annoyingly slow.

EDIT: actually posting this took longer than it should, but I hadn't noticed until now.

The Hunter

Right now slower than the second coming.

zeropaid has been very slow to load the last few days. i thought that it was just because i was on dialup. usually it`s quite fast.

its seems to be slow like this for a couple of days well when i am around.
i also notice that it takes between 20 and 30 seconds to get to a new page.

It has been loading on the slow side, but I have also been having problems with my ISP stalling me out or not even answering the phone. (Right, Earthlink is everywhere I want to be...Not! Can anyone suggest a more reliable dial-up ISP?) So anyway I wasn't sure what was causing the problem ZP's pages loading dog-ass slow. Probably six of one and half dozen of the other for me, but other sites like Hotmail are loading up a lot faster than the pages here of late.

At least it's still up...our goddam host has taken PeerWeb down for alleged 'Copyright Infringement'.

We'll fight them to the bitter end! Bloody recording industry!

I'm getting a ton of packet loss. Trying to do anything with the news is impossible. Almost all the HTML is coming out in fragments, which makes it impossible to edit.

It figures...when I finally have a few hours free time, I can't get any work done.

Whats wrong with ZP
The pages are loading up somewhat slow
It is slow like in a traffic jam and fast
like going on a moderate paced road
Don't know why but I got a pretty good connection
cause other site load up quick

The server is probably shot...or something is shot.

I had an AOL 'free trial peroid' once that did that to me about 80% of the time. It was the worst internet service I ever tried. Let's just say I never subscribed. Anyhow, before I got DSL, I had SBC dial-up. They have tons of access numbers in my area, so I wasn't ever stuck not able to sign on. They are pretty good, but only prob with SBC is that they are not available in every state.

ctc command:
i didn't think it was earthlink that was 'everywhere you wanted to be'... i'm not sure who it was, but i never thought it was them.

for a better isp, you should try netzero or something... we found one that cost $9.95 a month, only difference was they only allowed 5 emails, compared to our other, more expensive account's 7.
