I think it's about time somebody showed a little support for Seph.
I have been physically sickened at the way Sephiroth has been hounded of late. There's been a concerted effort to undermind his authority and put pressure on him to step down as Moderator. You should feel proud that somebody wants to devote time and energy to Zeropaid the way he does, not condemn the man. All you crybabies - yes you Psaliax - yes you nobrot - yes you aglo. You should feel ashamed of yourselves, you pack of ruthless hyenas. Let the man live.
Everybody, don't be fooled that these trolls speak for the good of the forum, like they were on some sort of noble crusade. They have their own adgenda, they simply don't like Seph. It's not a question of him being demoted, they want him to leave, tarred and feathered if they could, simply because they don't like him. But Sephiroth isn't here to win any popularity contests, he knows that, he simply wants to do his job, the job he never gets any credit for.
Ask yourself, how long as Sephiroth been here? Three years. People come and go but Sephiroth still remains. Solid as a rock. Ardent. He's not going anywhere.
So it's time that we show some support for Sephiroth. C'mon people, don't let the trolls win.

I've praised Seph in an earlier thread for working to improve the site. It's a tough but smart crowd here-and ultimately, the give and take will be good for the site, and Seph can take credit for his diligence and focus to improve it.

I also like Seph. He points out the manipulative & dishonest way some people bait and then cry foul.
His crusade has been (as far as I can tell) to return the purpose of this site to P2P related discussion. Making life difficult for those who want to troll is a thankless, frustrating and necessary job.
I am afraid that like myself, Seph gets baited into an emotional response and then crucified for it (read: bait and cry foul).
My feeling about that is, Seph would not get worked up if he didn't care. And personally I want Mods who care!

Hey, you have to understand that nobody is perfect
Some people hate Seph and have their reasons, some people admire him
It's their opinions...and you shouldn't force them to change just because you oppose what they say
This is the internet who cares, although I do respect that he puts a lot of effort into the site :)

It seems to me that Sephiroth is perfectly capable of defending himself.
You totally have my support Sephiroth, however many arguments we have. The internet sometimes makes speaking your mind a bit too easy, which can appear offensive. It's only my opinion on the matter.

Oh the irony, oh I'm dyin here
:tilted
Anyway Sephiroth and the other moderators don't get paid so far as I know. So what this means is that he took it on himself to incite a clear opinion from every bored distracted member in here on upcoming forum changes that we had ignored, took all the heat on himself, capitulated completely to every part of the real will of the population that was the least bit clear, and then practiced turning the other cheek for 9 pages or so and still is. So again, thanks Sephiroth
:gj
Induna how come you don't seem to have read any post of mine on these topics except the one with the full documentation in it that I punctuated with a baseless claim to make sure it got read? And as for that one, you jumped to agree when I originally posted it.
:ass
Waaaaaaaa, moderators please ban Induna, he's slandering me !!!

People are entitled to there own prospectives on subjects although I do not agree with him on certain things, I show him respect for what he has brung to the table his own prospective on the same subject, justas he has for me. Treat others like you would like to be treated. Mis interpretation/arguments about certain subjects can be solved in a civil manner that pleases everyone by just tlking things out. Wouldnt the world be better off with that type of mentalility? :santa

Thanks. Hopefully it will be over soon sine the plan has been finished i dunno when the changes will happen or not as of yet.
As I already posted the ideas of the messages forum, to not display or count post counts, and the recent posts on the front page ideas have all been taken off. The good user comments carried more weight because they were complete thought out opinions which made good points about the topic and not about other things and weren't flames which didnt drown out the other opinions.
So the only things left in the forum plan are just changes to the forum layout, and some new descriptions which ill post a copy of that below minus the mod sections.
*Subforums are indented.
Descriptions are in parentheses.

I support Seph.
Seph is one of the high bosses around here...show him respect and he'll show you respect.
Just because Seph is a super moderator doesn't mean that he can't defend himself against people's opinions about him. If someone has a wrong fact about a mod then the mod or anybody has the right to defend themselves and tell them why they are wrong about that so called "fact".
It seems to me as if when people diss mods...they think that mods can't defend themselves because it will ruin their reputation as a moderator because it's "bad influence" which is totally BS.
Mods have the same right as the members. Sure Mods have more power over the members by closing threads, banning etc....but if someone hired them...then the person that hired them knows that he/she can do the job and handle issues well.

It's not a question of him being demoted, they want him to leave, tarred and feathered if they could, simply because they don't like him.
Tarred--No,
Feathered--perhaps,
Don't like him--no (this means that I do not not like him, not the transverse),
demoted--who else would do what he does???
I like Sephiroth... if he didn't cause such a strong reaction for the posters here, I don't know if I would be here and I doubt that we would have such a strong forum membership. He polarizes the posters (often selflessly against himself) and destroys the struggles between posters since they are on a united front.
I have chatted with him and he seems like a nice enough human being.

zeropaid is a great site and open forum full of smart, opinionated, passionate individuals. and what could be wrong with that ,after all isn`t that what life is about? a couple of hours every morning reading and posting on the zeropaid forums toughens me up and gets me ready to face the daily bullshit that we all have to go thru. the standard of moderating and posting seems very high on zp when compared to other similar sites and forums.

Kinda like malicious.. I've not always seen eye to eye with seph (our opinions have differed on a few things) but at least he's always argued his points based on facts and I've never seen him throw a tantrum or act irresponsibly... and to me, that's a good mod.

Call me what you want, but i do not give a shit , I have something else far more important. It is called a LIFE. ZP is one of my entertainment outlets. Do you really believe for one second that Seph REALLY cares what I think? Do you think I really care what YOU think of me? NO. This is an internet bbs. Over the top, over-dramatized, mental masterbation bullshit. And I am as guilty of that as anyone. But I know it only goes so far (as in it really does not matter)
Besides, Seph would not have it any other way: being the whipping boy of the community :;) :gj

I will toss my 2 cents here--despite the recent disagreements Seph and I have had the last couple of days, most of the time we have actually been on the same page, at least as far as his basic plan as outlined above goes. As far as politics, that's a different story but that really doesn't matter (see "bottom line," at the bottom). I have always thought (and said several times) that his (see above) restructuring plans for the Forums was an excellent idea. Nor have I ever been in favor of a "flame zone" for ZP; this I have also said every time it has been brought up. The stuff everyone didn't want to happen isn't going to happen; posts counts are staying, the lounge is still on the front page, and the forums will be much easier to navigate. My hat's off to someone who can develop a forum restructure, participate in six different arguments, and conduct whatever offline demands his life must have. *doffs imaginary cap in Sephiroth's general direction, to the south* I also think that in most instances, his vigilance in stopping flames and trolls has been outstanding; while most of the mods here are all pretty quick to put a stop to stupidity, Sephiroth is around here when alot of the others are necessarily off.
Can he take constructive criticism? No, but then again few of us do. I actually enjoy debating with him, because it's good practice to engage someone so masterful at the circular argument...
Bottom line though, does any of this matter? In a hundred years, will any of this be of any relevance?
Fire, FIRE!!
Don't anyone lose any sleep over any of this. I know I won't.

One of the reasons i have not posted of late is because of the unrulely jerks pushing the limit and whining when thje mods do thier job. My opinion, I think they should take the leash of the mods and let them ban all the trouble makers here. Then maybe it would get back to what it was when i came here.

I agree. I'm pleased to see that there are some sensible people here that are able to express their views in a mature and adult way. And not resort to infantile tactics like throwing tantrums and go off in a huff if somebody disagrees with them.
And if people are using Seph as a weak excuse to stay away and not participate here at ZP , as notbob (not nobrot, sorry my mistake) intimated, then they need to stop acting like children and grow up.

Do you mean mature and adult views expressed like those below?
obviously you would have a small, flacid weener.
Whereas I would enjoy King-dong status.
I recently lost a testicle due to a horrific dog attack. The owner put the dog down but that wasn't much satisfation for me.
