The first one was the best!,an original with the good plotline awesome acting and the power behind to seed 4 sequals to it. In most cases not only concerning the rocky trilogy the first one usually owns, the second is kool and anything beyond that are not any good they get "played out" in a way.

Rocky 1. But the best choreographed fight was in the end of Rocky 2.

I'm a Sly fan. I vote for them all.

Rocky and Rocky II are the best out of the bunch. They play like '40's boxing films. The rest are like Teletubbies remakes, although I do have a soft spot for 'The Eye of the Tiger' montage in the third. At least I hope it's the third one. Man, my memory is shot, must stop watching television.

Have to put in a vote for Rocky 2. I like closure not ties.

where is the "they all suck" option?

Malicious Intent

Too difficult between 1 and 2.
Now everyone sign it!
#It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
#Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
#And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
#And he's watchin' us all with the eye of the tiger

Agreed. Of all of them this one was probably the best. I like Sly. It's too bad that he is typecast and sterotyped so much. You either like him or hate him - I like him.

All this about Rocky, but what about Bullwinkle? It's supposed to be Moose AND Squirrel, not just Squirrel.

I recently attended a rescreening for "Rocky" in a nearby city. This movie was so powerful, that I went through every emotion imaginable while watching it. There are some laughable moments in the movie, there are some sad parts in the movie, but the message of the film is still, after all these years, moving. Don't think any other 'Rocky' movie will ever compare. The original Rocky owns you.

stallone really got old

As some 60-61 year old mortals tend to do.

Testicles hopes to see you attempt to sell a boxing movie at that age.

Someplace between 1 and 3. Has been so long I have no idea. Don't think I ever saw 5. Will have to rewatch all before I think about seeing 6.

Rocky the original won the 1976 Oscar awards for Best Picture, Director, and Editing. There is a reason for this. I enjoyed this movie. The others not so much.

Rocky 4 with the russian is perhaps the greatest rocky ever. Hands down it wins. No question about it

I really liked the new one. I was wondering how they would possibly propose a fight with an old man like Sly and the current world champ, but a virtual fight was ingenius. They should get an oscar for this one.

I saw Rocky IV in the theatere when I was 12 (mid 80’s). It was the best movie a twelve-year-old could imagine. I saw it again a few years ago. I think this thread sums-up my modern day feellings as concered with all Rockies after the first . http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/the-lounge/t-cheese-is-junkfood-41010.html

Wow... this is an oldie.

But, I would say this is a timeless goodie as well.

The second was the best. Forget "going the distance" I want f'n victory!!!

And, the best Survivor montage was on #4, to Burning heart.

The best rockey film in my book would have to be rockey 2 of outa all of them , seeing as he came so close to beating creed in the first one it just was a nicely constucted if not slightly predictable sequel , i found the rest of the rocky's enjoyable but just didnt grab my attention as much as the first 2.
