NIS 2004 and winmx

i am running XP PRO and just installed Norton internet security 2004(clean),i am not able to allow anyone to upload on winmx.I have tried everything but still the same results ...disconnected or timed out.Also my browser pages are slow when NIS is enabled....is there a certain setting that it needs to be on for it to work properly.Had no problems with NIS 2003 and ME,i am running a P4-1.5gig,512mb ram....any ideas would be greatly!!!!!apppreciated

make sure in norton internet security 2004 that WinMX has "full" access to the internet.

It does have full access but i am still getting the disconnections and timed outs on the uploads,even when the NIS is disabled as well.
