Hi donkey/Emule users
I am suffering a lot with Shareaza coz of lots of performance issues (i left it mainly coz it almost kills my browsing speed even though all my downloads are just pending and no 1 download is active !!!)
Anyway, i just wish someone link me to a tool or give me full instructions on how to convert my incomplete downloads in Shareaza into the format used by emule (.part and .met files) so that i do not start all what i have already downloaded with shareaza from scratch (which will be a big waste of time and money if it happened). I tried many tricks but with no success up till now

just move the temp files that are in the shareaza directory to the /temp folder in the emule or ed2k folder, once placed there emule/ed2k should recognize the temp files and re-hash them and commense the download. On a side note using the ed2k network has been known to cause dramatic drop in browsing speed(while the program is running). hope this helps ya.

I am sorry to say this didn't help coz although i didn;t beleive this will work but i have done what u have said and as i expected, Emule didn't "feel" with what i copied. This is coz Shareaza uses different approach. I mean: If i want to d/l a file called 1.zip, shareaza makes 2 files in the temp folder called: 1.zip and 1.zip.sd
While in emule, u will get: 001.part, 001.part.met & 001.part.met.bak
My aim is 2 convert that Shareaza downloads to the format which is understood by emule so that i complete on the data i have already downloaded with shareaza
so HOW???

My really old LOST DOWNLOAD solution.. Just don't import the downloads.
Lost Downloads? This could work for you
You must have eMule (Preferred - No Spy/Adware) (http://www.emule-project.org) installed. You must also have Donkey Doctor [OLD] (http://www.thedonkeynetwork.com/pl/downloads.pl/tools/DonkeyDoctor1003d_ENG.zip)
This is verfied to work for many people, but is not simple. Newbies might want to read extra carefully or ask for help by starting a new thread. All users should read each step through before doing anything.
Copy the files in your Shareaza incomplete folder to your eMule or eDonkey incomplete folder. Be sure to clear out any other eDonkey or eMule partials before doing this, so you won't mix them up. Also, make sure you copy them, so if you mess up, you can try again.
Start eDonkey/eMule, look for and start a download for every lost file, in the order they appear in your temp folder.
Wait until you get at least 1 full source for every file; The progress bars should be totally blue.
Close eDonkey/eMule
Delete every ".part" file in the incomplete folder. Keep ".part.met" files, though!
Rename each Shareaza incomplete file to their respective .part file (ie. 1.part or 001.part, then 2.part or 002.part), in the order you searched for them.
Launch Donkey Doctor and makes sure the options point to the proper eDonkey/eMule folder and the Incomplete folder.
Use "Test Met" to recover every file, it will update the .met
Open Shareaza, go into the eDonkey2000 options and import the downloads you just repared.
You should now have your downloads recovered.

Why i have to wait till the progress bar is fully blue??? - I tried to wait for being blue in all my downloads but it never turned blue 100 % in all of 'em so does that mean these files are partially available on the emule network and that i will never finish downloading 'em ???
Although the author stressed on waiting for the progress bar to be blue, i skipped this for now and opposite to what i have expected (Failure), I have got my partially downloaded file (thru Shareaza) recognized by emule but as i expected, the download seem to be pending all the time and no more data is downloaded - i wish i can know why ?

it depends you can let it keep running hoping it will find a full source someday but for me if it doesnt within a few hours the file download is useless because no matter how close you get to completing the file download it never will because there are no full sources. It doesnt have to turn dark blue, just the darker the better.

I have a strange contradiction:
1. In Shareaza, i have downloaded a 74 MB of a 650 MB file
2. After following the instructions of how to make this download available 4 emule, it did work but it is written under the "Transfered" column just 37 MB so where did the difference (74 - 37 = 37) has gone ?!!!
