I am a little confused. I have tried to log into servers "Razorback" for instance and it tells me this server gives preferance to zlib aware clients and doesn't let me log on. I am using Edonkey 0.51 and have not encountered this message before. I searched on the interent and could only come up with something about a server setting that only lets emule 0.30b clients connect or something like that. I'm just wondering if I need to switch clients now, because I'd really rather not since I've always had better luck with the donkey and not the mule.

Thank you for the help, although I still wanna stick with Edonkey and I'll just put up with this new little problem. I mean I tried the mule and the donkey side by side on different computers and the donkey found files faster and downloaded faster then the mule even could. I'll get off my little soap box now as I don't want to turn this thread into debate over which one is better.

It has been raised on the edonkey/overnet forums. This feature is a recent upgrade to many of the servers and will be on the next release of edonkey but there is no date or timescale offered for the release. Apparently the server software writers and metamachine who control edonkey have had a screw up with releasing the server software before the client is fully compatible.

Meanwhile if a server refuses your connection due to not being zlib enabled the best thing is to try again after a few minutes...you will probably get connected. It is a little annoying especially if you have your donkey set to auto reconnect to a few high priority servers if a disconnection occurs....luckily the donkey is very stable these days and seldom loses a connection.

I am persisting with edonkey and hope they release an upgraded client shortly as it has proven to be the best ed2k client in terms of stability and low system resources required and server compatibility....until this week.... :error
