First of all way tooooo many (. periods) , but thats ok we all get really nervous some times :;)

and second of all the .iso file is the standard cd-image file that when burned with a cd-burning application creates a exact duplicate of the original cd. So you need the ISO more than the .rar file even though I dont even what the rar file contains because you dont provide more information about the file. In anycase a rar file format is a compressed file format just like ACE or ZIP it makes a archive out of single or multiple files to take the size down to make the transfer go by much faster. you need one of the compression agent programs winrar winzip or other to open these certain types of files!.

hope it helps to you.

as far as the .iso goes, in the process of creating the last game, i needed to download another file from the internet (if i remember correctly, it was some knid of .exe or "crack", a pretty small file), so i guess the question is, when i download the file what do i do next?

if it is a newer game and it should be you dont need no crack the crack should on the cd-image file or on the cd when you burn it..in most FLT releases there is a crack directory and in most RZR1911 releases there is a Razoer1911 directory where you van find the crack needed to be placed instead of the installed .exe file in the game directory. hope it helps once more :P

ok.......i now have the .rar file downloaded and opened with winrar...next i followed the directions given http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/bin_cue_with_nero.cfm
there...except when it said burn the .cue file i didnt since i dont want to waste disks if it isnt correct...so is that site correct that all i need to do is burn the .cue file (74 bites)? and leave the .bin file (approx. 719,000,000 bites) on my hard disk?...i am looking for whatever option will let me play the game, weather that means i need a disk to run it or not...

P.S.- on a totally unrelated topic...i downloaded the nero 6 demo (for about the millionth time)...and it says i can only use it until 10/31/03 (a.k.a. friday), so the question is, will i be able to just download another trial version, or will all the trial versions end on friday?

ok you want to have the .cue & the .bin in the same folder, open the .cue with your burning program, the .cue tell the burning prog how to burn the .bin

it burns the .bin when you open the .cue-- also make sure both the .cue & .bin have same name (they already should )

all the .cue does is tell the program what mode to burn the .bin so you dont have to set it your self.

it expires on the date it says it will..and now you have crossed the line you will need a cd-key in order to by pass the 30-day trial BS and on this forum it is not permitted so therofore I cannot debulge that information Sorry rules are rules!

ok......i do not want to waste my cd's, but now i have tried just burning the .cue, and just the .bin, and when i opened the .cue it went right to "open with".....the .bin gave me a warning about opening it, then went to "open with"...once again, i am using nero 6, when i open the program it comes on with a guide and i say i want to make a new cd-rom (iso), then i have my two columns and on the right i go find the file, and drag it to the left, then go up to burn current compilation, and it all seems to work fine...please help me and be specific...all i want to do is play the game, whatever way possible

P.S.-there is also a .nfo file which contains some game information (maker, ads for the game, etc.), but nothing on how to use it

uhh

just open nero or whatever burning app you use and select burn image or whatever it is, select the .cue file as its the informational part of the bin/cue format, the bin is the actual cd image but the cue is needed to tell your burning app where stuff goes and why, be it dummy files planted on cd or other "encryption" methods.

if you cant manage to get nero to work still, give alcohol120% a spin, its great for cd images

i told you i did that ......and when i burned the cd and opened it under my computer, it came up with "open with"

open the cue file with notepad...
look inside of it there is gonna be a file name within the quotation marks.

like:

FILE "office11-1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

2 things to look for is that the filename inside the quotes matches the real filename of the bin *exactly* even down tho the extension filename.bin

secondly make sure the cue and bin are in the same directory as one another otherwise it wont be able to find that bin file.

lastly after you fix the cue file make sure to save the cue file to make the fix permemenent. lock load and burn should work now.

FILE "FLT-HH03.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
thats the .cue, and the filename matches the .bin exactly, and the .bin and .cue are both in C:/Program Files/eMule...so do i need to "fix" the .cue or no? (i havent changed it at all since i downloaded it)...

Or you can convert the .bin to an .iso and just mount it on a virtual drive. (i.e. DAEMON Tools) In that case no .cue file is needed.

i scanned the file with CDMage, and no errors popped up (i saw the setup files and everything in the .bin file)...and then i went and checked the .bin and .cue files so they matched, burned the .cue with nero, and got the same result...by the way the .cue file icon is the icon for image preview (i tried to do that to the .cue to see if it would help once)...and that is the program that comes up when i click on the file...i dont know if this is right, but that is what is going on...

OK origin I know your just trying to help, but replace the copyrighted files names with examples like "thefilename.bin"

Because should the copyrighted files company be searching for it --- ie -- theprogram.bin in google, it will come here, and even though the file is not hosted nor linked to, it still doesnt give us a good rep.

So just edit the post if you cold be so kind.

And yea you might just wanna use Daemon tools, I use it all the time, especially if I just need to install "something"

And it doesnt waste a CD-R.

PS: You dont have to convert the bin to ISO to use with Daemon, itll take bins/cues
