Favorite hub got canned

Many of you have lived and lost. It's a part of life. There are times when life gives and there are other times when it takes away, and so you must deal with the pain. Though what was lost is gone forever, it will always live in your heart. This thread was created so that I may mourn the death of my favorite hub. It gave so much to me that I thought it best to ease it's passing by dedicating this post to it. Just know this, you will be missed.

Hubs wiilllllll come and go, depends on the people, later everyone will have 98 percent of what they want and not share or be on as much.. Others will get closed from RIAA busting in.

hmm but if it was a private hub then it would suck. but there are many more hubs i am sure of that you can get into. hell u can even make your own hub and get people you want to join.

It was a private hub. To be honest, I have tried DC before and dismissed it because I couldn't find a decent hub to get into. Then when I tried it again about a month ago I registered to one of those private 100 GB minimun hubs. Great hub, great speed, great variety.

I'm sure there are other good hubs. I'll just keep looking. Oh and thanks Isus, I'll give cpugeniusmv a ring about joining.

Where are these 100GB Minimum hubs that you can register for? I've been wanting to get into a private hub. But I know not how to go about it. I have 300GB of Music, Movies and Software to share. Just noone to share it with:(

My experience in finding private hubs has been hanging out in public ones and making friends here and there. After a while, someone would always end up asking me if wanted to join.

Most I have seen is 350 TB with about 1200 to 1500 users.

If they are not letting people in the hub it's probably for a good reason. I really don't mind. It's gotten to the point where I would connect to a hub and sit there for a week or two without downloading anything.

Starting my own hub is not something I would be into, don't know enough about DC to run it effectively.

Well I suppose they are sharing all their "hashed" bait files anyway... And if it is to get into a big private hub I'll tend to believe you.

So I guess there's no way to verify a person is "cool" without knowing and trusting them personally. Maybe after months of sharing in a public hub, even then you couldn't be 100% sure.

I've been sitting in this thread for no good reason all afternoon... I just now tried to hop on my favorite hub and guess what? This was my favorite hub too. Ain't that a bitch. It disappeared one time before, and then came back, but there no trace of it now. Ironic. :mellow

Have the RIAA or anyone got in and busted any hubs?? Maybe you should start a HUB called, The ones who didnt post enough to get into the zp hub.
If you have over 300 gigabytes to share, and no one lets you in. Its prety much their loss.. Since it takes so many people to bring great music and rarieties to the party.. Even if they have it, it may be alower byte rate.. Or your own ripped cd collection.

I would try to befriend hubs using the DC Chat, but of all the hubs I've visited, I chat, and chat, but noone ever answers. And I've visited quite a few at that. Everyone seems mute. *shrug* I've pretty much given up on DC anyways. It seems like a good, safe idea. But too unsafe in public hubs. And much to hard to get into private hubs. Unfortunatly, that would be probably the only place I'd share. Because things have become so dangerous lately on other networks.
