pal ntsc

okay, i recently got my hands on a nice dvd burner (whoo hoo go me:) so natrually im going to DL some dvds, kinda a no brainer there, well the question is if i dl a PAL dvd and set my dvd player (apex ad-5131) to pal will i be able to watch it on my tv which since i unfortunatly live in america i am to asume is an NTSC tv.

I know that all UK TVs now work both NTSC and PAL, so I'm guessing that if your TV is newish, it will work PAL.
Does it not say in the manual?
Good old UK doing the opposite to everyone else!
