Mcafee has some good programs for monitoring, I'd try some of them, but I've never found a good use for dr watson on any machine newer than 98.

Dr. Watson was an early diagnostics program for windows 9x and still lingers in some versions of 2000 and xp. You can also run a simple scan in windows xp but he has become more and more useless (unlike his literical counterpart). For some general info on Dr. Watson and his capabilities...

"According to the Microsoft Help file, Dr. Watson was included to evaluate problems when you contact Microsoft technical Support for assistance." - from the article.
