A little help

i have a software that has a function disablet (this software is freeware, so i am not trying to crack), when i use reshacker and enable it (enables WS_VISIBLE in reshacker) and then save, the software doesnt want to start. i double click the exe file and see for a second the timeglass, but then nothing happens. what can i do to make it work?

is there a hex editor (would most like if it was freeware) that can compare to files at the hex level? (compare the hex code between to files and find the difference?)

the program is not released yet, i got it from the developer and i know he added this function (i can even see it in reshacker), but he doesnt think "the world" is ready for it, thats why he disablet it. i want to turn it on without asking him for help (he doesnt want to enablet it, even for me only). when i save the edited file (reshacker) all seems to be fine until it i start it. then i see the hourglass for just a few seconds and nothing happens (it isnt even in the taskmanager). i would really like some help.

second question: isnt there any software that compares hex code and findes the difference?
