I'm trying to play a DIvX of a recent movie on my Windowd Media Player 8
first the movie didn't even start, and I was suggested to install ffdshow and XviD; now the movie starts and goes all well, but.. without sound !
any suggestions to solve this problem?

:green6 I first of all would download Widows Media Player 9
Then download the codec for Divx

Did you uninstall all your previous codecs? You should be fine with WMP8 - just start from scratch.
Not having sound is the primary indication that your codecs are missing or not installed right...
Some codec packs don't work right if they're installed in the wrong order or on top of old ones without being uninstalled...
