Managing Attachments

i'm having a problem trying to attach anything.
and is the only way to go and "manage" them, by trying to post and then attaching?
is there an area to do this outside of posting that i don't know about?
it seems that some people can post tons of pics with ease, but not me.
i have only 4 pic attachments on this board.
most i believe r in the "family photos" thread.
is that all i can have.....do i have to delete these in order to be able to attach any others?
i did get in once to manage and deleted all but those 4.
but i can't seem to get in to the "managing" area, even when i tried attaching in a post.
it just posted without the pic.
am i way out in left field here like a dork and doing something wrong?

The problem is that the "quota" is so ridiculously small one image goes over it. I think it's something like 30kb. So, in essence, images are not permitted.

It's pretty damn small, 30kb like rainbowdemon said. I went and deleted a lot of my attachments because I was trying to post something that nobody ended up helping me with anyways... wasn't worth it. I have no more pictures in Sexy Spam. :(

Well, Janet and I, with the help of a lot of other members put together a real nice photography thread. I have no intentions of deleting any of it. In fact, I want to add to it.

yes, rainbow.......that was the main reason i was wondering....even after i had had some problems, i wondered how u guys had so many pics attached, when i couldn't and had to delete most of mine.

Try opening Manage attactments in a new window. If you have a popup blocker then it might be blocking it from opening the window.

Try opening Manage attactments in a new window. If you have a popup blocker then it might be blocking it from opening the window.

i don't know how to do this.
the only way i can get to "managing attachments", is to try to post with an attachment.....but it won't go to the "managing attachments" when i do this.....it just acts as if it has done it's job, and then doesn't attach.
but i will continue to try.
any other suggestions?

Strangely enough, I did not get any such warning. I have tons of image files in threads like sexy spam as well as many others. Maybe the forum Gods do not like you rainbowdemon.

Bow down and repent for your sins, for that may be the only key to attaching something. Time for my medication!

Yeah, you may get more space with more posts or something....I've never had a problem. I don't think CPU has either, he's attached a few programs in the news crib, plus a ton of screen shots, and I don't think he's had a problem.

What I did was upload a picture, then try to upload it again. It gave me an error and sent me to that page. Enjoy!

It's looking like anyone who is a mod anywhere on this site doesn't have the same attachment limits that us lowly members have.

But you all seem to have no problem attaching anything. Even if you don't go delete your old ones. Mine says: You are currently using 751,716 bytes of a maximum allowed 30,000 bytes to store 21 uploaded attachments.

I'm curious what Seph's, MoonMan, Phalkon's, etc says.

Edit: Oops, I see you attached one too Hunter. What does it say about your usage/limit?

Moony an Phalkon are in the "News Mod" group... They probably didn't set the 30k limit (I posted about EARLY on....yet hasn't been 'attacked' till now - what gives? lol) in that group.

Same goes for mods/admins/ect

my daughter...which is 35,870
and Tim McGraw...which is 14,523
so basically we're saying here that we're allowed one pic, at best.

I don't have a limit I guess, and I'd like to keep it that way...most of the pictures I've uploaded came from sexy spam or are screenshots to help people out. What if somebody is searching old threads and wants to look at something helpful from me?

... thinking of an animal who can only see in black & white … colors not needed to survive ... thinking of how happy I feel that I can see more than black and white, more than an animal … loving all the colors, hues, depths & dimension’s that the eye can absorb. I know that colorful attachments, sigs, pics, zp'rs individuality expressed, are not needed here, but it sure did add to the enjoyment of visiting … just kinda feels like something is missing …
