i was wondering what exactly is an iso file?ive never downloaded that file type brfore,so im curious to know more about it

An ISO file is a CD Image file. It is an (exact) copy of a CD (more or less exact, but I won't get into how that "exact" is not really true, perhaps someone else will get into it).

You can burn the iso file (don't burn it as data, select something from within your burning software that relates to images. Software such as Nero has options for doing this). You can also mount the image using a virtual drive (like Daemon Tools--I recommend the front end GUI "Daemount"--, or Alcohol 120).


This related guide can help you, as many games you can download are in image formats. Fair to mention ISO is just one of many cd image formats.

thanks for all the information,the link was very helpful.i use nero,so when i get my iso file completed,i think i will be able to do it with such good information,thanks
