I wonder if it would be worthwhile to create a subjects page,
that goes beyond the Zeropaid categories. There's a wealth
of information accumlated here, and it might be worth while
to index some of threads by title

... kinda weird, buggy?? ... when i posted in this thread earlier, i could have sworn that Happiechik was listed as the starter of this thread & that hers was the 1st post (at least that's what appeared on my screen). but then this morning, i was looking through the new posts & i saw this thread on forum bugs, started by cpu & i thought, another forum bug thread??? then as i started reading through it, i could see that it was the same thread, with a couple of posts added to the beginning of the thread, before Happiechick ... hmmm, i think me needs more caffeine... :mellow

Yeah I REALLY hate the fact that clicking a thread link takes you to the last post. It is quite a hassle to scroll up, and sometimes go back a few pages in a thread to read all of the posts in order.

Sorry, but what are you talking about? News comments, or forum comments?
News comments have a straight HTML interface. If we need to edit a comment, you scroll through the html code, find the comment, then delete it. Sometimes if a news mod trys to do something quickly, or is just careless, things that weren't meant to be edited are.

Well specifically:
1) When I posted the article about International Piracy, Moonie sent me a note suggesting that I send the articles in HTML and gave me some code examples and a link The next day when I checked the article, his comments were changed and the link was to a porn site I thought it was a funny hack, but Moonman noticed his comments were changed too (see his comments later down the page beneath the article)

There is a forum exploit that allows to delete whole threads started by other people. I confess I deleted two posts yesterday. sorry, I know, it's a bad thing to do, but I am innocent, it's those voices in my head, they forced me to do it. lol.
it works like this: sometimes when a poster posts a reply in a thread their replies are posted as FIRST post right above the original poster's post. which gives him the the possibility to delete the entire thread, 'cause the poster whose post is at the very top has the control over the life of the thread

I do not quite remember your link being changed to a porn link, but I do know why my comments were changed.
In order to *show* html on a webpage, for example:
<br> (to show a <br> tag). Well when me, or another news mod (doesn't matter who) editted the comments to most likely delete a bad remark, something happened to that. My theory is, when it was shown on the site as <br> it didn't go back as <br> when the moderate comments box was opened to change something. It was shown as <br>.. therefore the browser did not know the difference and used it the way it was programmed to.
If that doesn't make too much sense.. well, I am not very good at explaining things but it is a reletively simple concept. Anyways, my point is my comment being screwed with was more of an accident rather than intentional.
Sorry for the confusion. :)

Well what the hell did you delete? It may not seem like anything important, but it may well have been to the posters.
I'm guessing that the error occurs when the forum is have another change of heart about the time. I've accidently posted at the start of the thread before, it was when lots of people were getting the 30 second rule. Its not like it can really be exploited. Someone who wants to do damage would have to be watching the forum for a time change. Even then the only threads they can get are ones written after the new time.
Still something that should be corrected.

lol the only reason I know this is because their workers went on strike (or threatened to, I don't remember) a while ago... it was all over the news.
That and... sometimes when the papers get bored, they write about how great spam is... and how it's neat cuz it's from here....
Boo to spam (the real stuff).

Uh huh, you said meat, and that is more like mystery meat. It is a mystery to me why it was ever called meat.
i prefir actual meat, like cuts of meat. Not pressed shavings. Chipboard in a can, J/K, but not much.

For the most part, so do I. But a couple of slices of spam, fried, with some cheese melted on top, makes a good sandwich. Of coure, nothing is better than a well-made venison roast!! There's a lot of that around here too!!
