After seeing questions asked about converting your vhs tapes to dvd, and not getting the answers that i needed, i did a bit of looking, and this article from PC World might just help a little bit.http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,112029,00.asp

Its hard to say as I have never done this myself, but The Hunters page looks more comprehensive.

Check this out, this guy knows what he's talking about. I'm in the process of VHS conversion right now myself.

How about converting music tapes/cassettes to your PC, or to a CD?

Get a cord at radio shack that will go from you headphone jack (1/4") to your microphone input (1/8"). Find a program that will allow you to record from the microphone. Split the long stream into tracks. Encode them to MP3 or anything else if you want, burn the songs. Easy CD Creater 6 has a tool that does all of this I reccomend it.
