How awesome is this band? I just bought the album "Away From the Sun". I know it's not new, but i finally started hearing their songs and I'm hooked! What does everyone else think? Also, Maroon 5 is pretty good.

I bought it a while ago (**gasp**), and I hated it (it was one of two CDs i've actually bought this year, the other being the first "Days Of The New" album from eBay for about $3.00; well worth the price). Bland, and unoriginal. Almost a carbon copy of their previous, but the lyrics were.......well............blah. Uninspiring.

I feel as though I wasted my $.......but I "got even". hint hint.

REDHOT CHILI PEPPERS BY THE WAy is awesome!!! MUST have.. ITS like 60 some minutes of great music.
HIGhly recommend.

Those are the ones on my list to purchase.. Probably have to check on Half.com or Ebay, Since boycotting the RIAA.

Very true. It just reminds me of the summer being with my old school friends. I loved it before that as well.

Honestly I think thier music stinks... But then again, In my opinion anything that isnt house or trance stinks... But hey my mom says this - "Opinions are like A** H**** Everyone has one"
So I guess that is just my opinion. (No offense meant, I hope none is taken).

Right now I am listening to "Floorfilla - Anthem Number 4 (Hyper Mix) I think thats pretty tight. PS Why did you buy it, you should have downloaded it?

I kind of like them, they seem to understand harmony and melody and that adds a lot to the genre. I can't listen to them all night like jazz or trance, but it beats the heck out of eminem.

Haha no offense taken. I bought the album for a couple reasons:
1. I don't download illegal music (never have, never will).
2. I wanted them to be compensated for their music. I really really liked them and figured that they could use the $.50 they got from my $9.99 purchase
3. Best Buy was having a sale. The cd was $13.99 marked down to $9.99.

Usually though I buy my cds on Half.com or ebay. It saves ALOT of money because it's only like $4.00 and I get the cover art and the cases and things. There's something to be said about holding the case and looking at the laser-etched cd. And also IMHO $9.99 is a fair price for a cd.

PS. I'm not against p2p like it was claimed by es5. I'm against illegal uses of it. That doesn't mean I don't like those of you that illegally download things, it's just not my style. Sharepro is doing something illegal in order to hurt the MPAA/RIAA. Those of you that download just so you can listen to, or you buy the cd later on I have no problems with. It's the ones with the "fuck you riaa/mpaa" mentality that make me mad because it only hurts the cause.

Look at the price of cds because of p2p. Instead of $18.99 for a cd, it's now $9.99. I can afford that. But if some of you continue the "death to the RIAA" stance it doesn't do anything positive.

In addition, I used Shareaza to transfer a legal movie/trailer for a client of mine to his clients. It made it alot faster and saved bandwith. We were able to transfer the movie about 100 times for the cost it would have taken to transfer it just once via FTP. And yes it was legal, it was his own film.
