seems there are a few bugs since the update. Im creating this thread to compile them and so they can get fixed. So post any bugs you find that arent listed below.

-Can't change custom avatars or see forum default avatars.
-No option to change user titles.
-Forum time is three hours slow
-Three drop boxes in new post do nothing(might be for font, size, color)
-Check http://zeropaid.com/images/go.gif IE keeps coming up with a privacy cookie message. Might be a bumper image or something.

That was done on purpose. And its explained in this (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=14994) thread.

where is the quote button?

It's the tiny "reply" button. I keep getting kicked off and having to log in every 10 or so minutes, even though I checked the "remember my password" box.

It's the small reply button on each post.

Seph, thanks for making this thread to keep track of these bugs. I just got the fofs site talking to the database, so I can pay attention to these bugs.. I will go on a binder this afternoon and fix em all so pile em up.

Not really a bug just an idea. I think general p2p, gnutella and fasttrack out to just be their own sections and display just the subforums instead. That way they stick out better and newer people will find them easier.

This is isn't really a problem per se, but the page width is like 805 or 810 pixels. I am browsing using 800x600 and it cuts off just a little bit. This is a purely aesthetic problem. I like symmetry for my browsing enjoyment.

Also, at first I did not find my beloved frog, and I almost went berserk and posted a thread about how I was going to leave this site or do something irrational, but then i found it, and all was well in the world.

:fire
(The frog would have been lonely without being able to see others of his kind).

EDIT: Upon further thought, I realized that there are some problems:

1) The signature limit is too small... My sig is rather short, but, when I tried to delete the tags that I had placed in it to make it smaller on the old software, it said that my quote was too long, so i decided to leave it with the tags instead of it being gone.

2) Perhaps allow for smaller text in the signatures, or in the site globally if that is what is required. Sometimes subtlety is desired.

3) I am attaching a screenshot and wondering if anything can be done about the arrangement of the "forum tree" that tells where in the forum you are at. There is tons of space for other info, but the position in the forum is cramped in a little box in the upper left hand corner.

Thank you very much!

For now images in Sigs will be turned off. You must understand that the information that could be collected while using those is a security risk for the users of zp. Some people in the p2p world have made that very clear.

Jorge, a suggestion, if possible, block images from being hosted on danasoft, this is where the IP image is, and I assume that is the major part of the security issue

its slow the site
i disabled pictures in my ie browser.
i have fast dsl and this is very slow and i am not doing p2p as of now and even if i did i can surf here fast.
i will look at source code for the main pages and see why its like this.
but i dont know about html or whatever so it wont make a difference lol. but i will try anyways. serious i am using internet explorer 6 and this is really suckie.

well there is one way to do it. i would suggest.
this is how u can still do sigs. just let the signatures pictures be stored on zeropaids main server and dont let others use hosted pictures from outside servers.
that way the logging of ip addresses will no longer occur and at the same time u can please us.
hope u follow this.
peace out and the whole shebang.

Cancel makes it look like you are cancelling the PM.

You only have to put your username and password into one of those. The best way is to go to the main page and log in there.

So that you can use cookies for log ins but not ads is to go to the privacy tab in internet options of internet explorer click the advanced button.

Check override cookie control

for first party cookies select allow.
for third party cookies select block.
and check allow session cookies.

Then disable any cookie blocking programs which is why your not staying logged in.

LoL

This is getting spookie

oi so i removed zp cookie from wondowwasher
then i ran windowasher
just to be sure after did this i removed cookies and histry and temp files from control pannel

and i tried the link and it just kept looping back on me and i wasnt able to login
then i opened this thread and tried hitting reply and it did not even ask for my password

so i saw the option of loqout next to my id and i clicked it - and it said all cookies now deleted

then again i tried to login from the link and it did not work but when i tried again thru post reply method it did not ask my password

so u did a bit of testing and after clearing cookies enterd wrong password and it said u have 4 tries remaining or u get banned for 15minutes

hmm i guess when u try the login on frontpage u do get logged in but u just keeps looping back on u - and yes the front page never displays Hi!! <id> it shows "login" at all times

i will try clearing my cookies again and then hit post reply - i think it will ask for my password

spell check - wrote this in ahurry

ferrarimodena360
September 29th, 2003, 07:34 AM
i am right

this time instead of going thru the login option on frntpage i hit post reply and it asked for my password

which means that login option at frntpage does log u in but just keeps looping back to the login option again

I am trying to search, and it is just not working. I have tried to "view new posts" and it says that I can only search once every 60 seconds. I also tried to search for posts from a member and it told me, basically, to fuck the hell off.

I have been able to search across time and dimensions, but it irks me good to not be able to search on such a small forum on this insignificant planet.

Speaking of which...

Attachments don't work...the 'limit' set as a default by the upgrade seem way to low. As everyone who has been here more then a month would fill up 30,000 bytes...

It also effects anyone who has attached files as they're way over that limit...I couldn't even attack a 2k gif smilie because of it.

i can't post an attachment. Is this right? New rule?

"Sorry, your attachment could not be accepted because your attachment quota would be exceeded by 1665976 bytes. If you wish to post this attachment, you will need to delete some of your older attachments."

I deleted some but still...

I hope we don't end up having off site hosting for text images and attachments. I can do sigs and avatars off site but its pain in the a** doing it for files you are putting up termpoarily at the most. I have ran into in some forums out there and its no fun.

I've never actually attached a file that I think was really worthwhile here, in the sense that an offsite link wouldn't have done the trick as well. When we have attachments we have people maybe posting their wares and hacks and soforth right in here, and all of a sudden instead of an information service we are an outlaw host.

Just something to think about.

If you want to search the forum, you have to hit the search button, just hitting enter doesn't work anymore.

I hit enter just now in Opera 7.20 and it worked fine for me.

The thing that I see that's acting weird is the thread views... it seems to be stuck on 1070 views ... is that just because it now only counts the # of members who have seen this page or is it a bug?

Well, thinking most bugs had been worked out, I went through all the user options, and found some bugs.

-Buddy list. You can't add new buddys, when you hit submit it does nothing (doesn't save them in other words)
-Signature size is horrible. My current sig is too large????? I consider mine pretty small. At least make it so custom vB code doesn't add to sigs length (if possible)
-PM box. I had some problems where if I deleted a message, then came back five minutes later, its still there. If I try to delete it again, it gives me an error

Whats the user group thing?

It's fine now. When I first turned the comp on this morning, it was dragging pretty bad.
