hi,
here's a new one for ya all. I just hooked up my hdtv cable box, which happens to have a digital/optical out (you can see the possibilities) and i treid to hook up my minidisc player to it via optical cable. Now, they have already thought of that too, because when you try to record (which would be a perfect digital signal) it gives you a "no copy" (copy protection) message and you cannot record. Does anyone no if theres a way to beat this? It would be great to get a perfect digital signal for recording. PBS runs a program called soundstage on high def and it is unreal how good it looks and the sound is pure digital. i'd love to be able to record those live shows, not to mention the 50 music channels out there. Anybody have any ideas? TIA
