svcd audio problem

i used vitural dub to split the avi file and i used nero to burn it but whenever i watch it the sound off. Can someone please help me correct this problem?

Which encoding is the original file in? (DivX, Xvid, ect )

i found something simular to DemonusAE, but I think it may be more relevant.
This site deals with Xvid to DIVX. This is basically a help page for problems.
By doing CTRL+f and searching for "Sound", I found a few results that looked like they could help.
It looks like you may need to do the sound manually, but never having made an SVCD, I don't know.

I've had to split the sound out and then layer it accross the 2 discs, worth it? Not really. xvid is just not good when you want i svcd, I stick with divx or disc images(bin, etc..).

You need to encode it with a proper MPEG encoder like TMPG rather than let Nero do it. Also, you need to use tooLame to encode the audio in TMPG, Xvid's use variable bitrate rather than constant bitrate, if you don't use tooLame you'll get distorted sound. THEN burn with Nero.

I just ran into to the exact same problem joining 3 files and burning it but with a divx 3 lowmotion codec. I gonna look up some stuff and will report back if I find a fix.

I tried it a second time and it worked out, but thanks links though. Nero must screwed up during the first encoding. I'll save the links though for future problems.
