I downloaded an entire 42 mb album through WinMX. When I run EasyCd Creator 5 on Windows 95, the track only shows as 33 seconds. The progress bar on the preview pane also only runs for 33 seconds, but once it reaches the end, the album continues to play. The computer CD Player also plays the entire album. Can you tell me how to set up EasyCD Creator to see and record the entire track? Do I need to download individual tracks rather than an album? Thanks much.

I think you can still burn your file if you are able to listen to it in it's entirety.

Does it have the letters albw in it's name. Also it might be a mp3pro file.
Never the less you can burn it by converting it to a wav file first. Usually your cd burning app will do this on the fly but when ever something is a bit amiss or corrupted it has trouble.
So use a application like cdex or eac, both freeware to convert your file to a wav file. Then burn it. Should work.

let me know if you need more help.

Try nero if Easy CD still doesn't work, and if that fails, split up the mp3 into seperate tracks using an mp3 editing program such as Soundforge (I think).

It was unclear but it IS an mp3 file you're trying to burn?

easy cd burner and nero are not compatible and you will have problems if you simply uninstall and try and install nero.
You will need to read the help file at the Roxio website explaining how to completely uninstall Easy CD. This is just a word of warning to avoid headaches.
But Adaptec now Roxio's Easy CD is popular as it comes bundled with cd burners and is ok to use. I have used it.
But Nero is better and also Nero will not cause conflicts if you want to try other cd burners.

EAC or Exact Audio Copy is freeware and it has a builtin cd burner and is considered the best cd ripper. good also for converting mp3's to wav. It is free, check it out.
