I'm sure you guys have read the pidgin from Babelfish™, I've gone ahead and taken the liberty of rendering freehand until we have something better. I don't have the original Espanol so I may have missed some fine points, please post it here if you have it. I have also dispensed with quotation marks as I don't think they are appropriate for this kind of paraphrase.

Recording industry sues internet file-sharers
Jorge Gonzalez, co-founder of the leading website for peer-to-peer technology Zeropaid.com (http://www.zeropaid.com), questioned the methods record labels had used to select their targets.

What is that set these particular people apart? Or is it just that they are trying to make examples of them to intimidate other internet users?

Jorge said that the solution to this problem does not lie in suing the consumers, but rather in creating technology that effectively delivers music to the end-users; and that the lawsuits filed against these users did not help this effort in any way.

He went on to say that one more appropriate idea would be to place taxes or fees on Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to provide compensation for the artists and composers, and thereby make it possible for anyone to easily obtain the music or video that they wanted.

But he stressed that it would be important to make sure that income would go to the artist rather than the record companies.

Happy to give something back to the site Jorge, hope you are doing well. Kind of a big day here :ž

It seemed like the Google was saying that CD makers demanded we distribute their music for them on the net, I just couldn't let that stand ...

The rest was just the news story we already have from CNN.

When you get the chance tell us everything you said Jorge, there must have been more than that. Good job on emphasis though :)
