I'm happy to announce that a new version of Maileet is out. Among the new features on this version:
- Encryption: Maileet uses AES encryption by default and you can set your own encryption password (key). It is virtually impossible to know what you are sending or receiving. Notice that this version will not work with older versions of Maileet since the transfers are now encrypted.
- Direct Send: If you don’t have an SMTP server or you don’t want to use one, Maileet support 'Direct Send' with it you can send files without the use of an SMTP server. The downside is that if you choose 'Direct Send' you won't be able to send the file to many recipients in one upload; Maileet will send the file to each address one by one. The upside is that you can still send files to your friends even behind firewalls.
- Better user interface experience.
- Some small but annoying bugs weeded out.
Enjoy it.
