When the Win MX homepage says that the program does not contain spyware does that mean that it won't let the government spy on my computer?

No that isn't what it means at all, it means that they don't front your logs out to corporations who want to target marketing to you. WinMX has been left out of much of the American hoopla because they are an Israeli company but that's nothing to do with spyware. And the wHackers who are finding sharers for the RIAA have demonstrated they can get your shoe size, blood alcohol content, and secret post office box using info readily available in winmx or any other ip-based peer-to-peer.

there is no way to protect yourself from our evil spying goverment. when you think you're looking at your television, it's actually looking at you. when you set your vcr to record at 10 pm that just tells them that you'd rather be watching ER than the news, and assume you are less intelligent and easier to use for their evil agenda.

the only way to protect yourself is to abandon technology alltogether. forget toast buddy, that little appliance can transmit how much fiber you consume in a day.

It's not the government we have to worry about. It's the aliens that are abducting us on a nightly basis. I woke up one morning and found a lump in my neck. At first I thought it was a zit, but when I popped it something fell down the drain. I keep having these dreams like I'm floating through the wall, surrounded by thin ugly beings with big black eyes---except it's not a dream. It's real! We must unite against the alien invaders if we're ever to survive! Join me brother.

something fell down the drain it's called alienware. Don't worry. They are just trying to learn more about our species. Can't blame them for that.

Aliens probably found out that more music is purchased cause of p2p.. As far as the riaa is concerned, their saying their is no aliens, just the illegal ones who cross our borders on a daily basis that bring in tijuana music in thats not being represented by them.
