OK I fully understand the need for advertising to keep the site up and thriving, but isn't this a bit much ? It looks like a simple banner until you roll your cursor over it and it covers half the buttons. I guess it's better than something like gator (anything is better than gator), but it's still pretty annoying and invasive.

I have gotton that one a few times. the only thing i hate is that the ES5 abnner is aways there, i havent seen any other banners for like 2 months.

Even without shielding, I do not see that particular ad once I am logged in. I remeber something vaguely about logging in turning off the most annoying stuff but I'm not finding it now, maybe somebody smart will direct you to the details. In the meantime stay logged in and maybe run a good ad-blocker.

I don't see any of that crap. I don't use mozilla, but I definetly have a huge hosts file.

I use IE 5.5 and no adblocking software. Never saw that ad in my life before.

yep. i'm always logged in so i never receive those kind of popups from this site. And even if you do, it's not hard to hit the little x button at the bottom right of the ad or wherever it is located.

i usually see the es5 add sumtimes i dont but ive never seen that ad before , dam that ad is sure to attract visitors . its huge!
