i had installed dsl speed and it tweaked my settings changing default country or something..........

so google now opened thinking i am in australia....

i uninstalled dsl speed & restored system to solve the problem but now it automatically reoccured changing the country to australia.......

how do i change it to india so that google displays i am in india.

play around with the settings in....

Control Panel, Regional and Language Options.

coutry it lists as united states and language is english -us (countrol pannel > region and language)

i think it has tweaked my dsl connection settings or somthing.....

i have adsl connection

kindly help as i did system restore and the problem was solved and now it has reoccured on its own i havent even installed dsl speed

Are you using a proxy by any chance? Check under Internet Options

Change the Google URL to http://www.google.co.in/ and then save it in your favourites.

As you currenly have the australian URL saved.

nah i do not have any proxy

and i had www.google.com in my favourites to open the site and it used to take me to india by default........and strangely enough i am back to india.......may be its the fault of my isp.

Well go to
TOOLS>Internet Options>In the home page type in the http://www.google.co.in
on the box and it should load the indian site everytime

I think it might be because of your situation with cookies\temporary internet files\etc.

I'd clear all of those and your cache, see if that does anything.

I think its just reset its self on the favorites he may have clicked something and it save as his favorite.
