Dear Zeropaid users

There is a nice song i used to hear in the radio but up till now i have got no luck in hearing the announcer so that i can be able to know who is the singer and the song tiltle. Anyway, i succeded in recording about 20 seconds of it on a tape from which i moved it back on the PC 2 upload it so that any person who is too much familiar with pop music can download it, hear it, identify it and then tell me who is the singer and the song title so that i download it on my PC - THANKS A LOT for reading this (strange) question but i like this song and want to keep it on my PC

If the song is copyrighted, then you just made a big error.

Read the forum rules before posting links to copyrighted material.

FIRST, THIS WAS JUST 20 SECONDS IN LENGTH
SECOND, IT WAS ON THE RADIO WHICH MEANS THAT THE RADIO HAS THE RIGHTS TO USE IT
THIRD, I WAS JUST ASKING ABOUT THT SINGER AND THE SONG SO THAT I CAN BUY IT ON A CASSETEE
FOURTH, WHO IS THAT PERSON WHO GAVE HIMSELF PERMISSION 2 USE MY ACCOUNT AND DELETED MY ATTATCH
FIFTH, I HATE THIS FORUM WHERE ALL OF 'EM ARE 'KAZAA USERS' AND THEN THEY SPEAK ABOUT COPYRIGHTS - (DISGUSTED)

MODS have the ability to modify any ones post they deem to be unacceptable, secondly, it doesn't matter if it was 20 seconds or 200 seconds.

I think a short sound byte is legally ok.

I honestly cannot say I know for a fact but I do seem to remember that it is legal.

But! whatever....

peace

Yeah, i edited my post after thinking about it, i actually want to go to the riaa's website and find out but it seems to be down.

I actually believe short sound clips are permited by law, but am not certain.

If the song is copyrighted, then any way you wan't to slice and dice it, it will still be copyrighted.

Even a sound bite is copyrighted. And just because the radio station has the rights to use it, doesn't mean YOU have the rights to use it. Are you paying royalties?

The reason it was removed was for the legal safety of Zeropaid.com.

If you hate Zeropaid, feel free to not post again. It's your decision.

... have you tried calling the radio station, right after hearing it, & asking them what the name of the song they just played was & who did it?? i have done that a few times, & they were always more than helpful ... just a thought ... : )

Thats rite reg, radiostations are required to keep playlists (for royalties eet.cet.) so if you know the time it was played you can call and ask and theyre usually very helpfull. I have done this a few times aswell.

I just found it funny that were all worried about copywrite.. first all their fighting the riaa about able to link a websight that has the song.. since google and yahoo search engines do it, all i would do is type the lyrics out on here and maybe we can help=) Or if its a popular song check the playlist top forty of that radio station.

Don't yell at us because you don't know the rules moron.

Go to the radio stations website and get their playlist, or call them.

Sockfulloflove - easy there . . . .

eXTREME2002

What you did was not consistant with our forum rules, and altho I did not remove the material, I WOULD have if I had seen it.

Secondly, mouthing off about how you hate the forums etc, and shouting in caps, is not going to help your case.

Last, if you cant play by the rules to begin with, DONT bother reporting posts that you dont agree with or that dont settle well with you.

Btw, calling a radio station is an age old method of asking what a song is. When you start a thread, you cant say "no one invited you"

To "Sockfulloflove"
hi
I forgot 2 thank u 4 enlightening me that i am a meron. i didn't know that coz of the same reason (i am a meron so how can i know !!!). Nowadays, I am aspiring to be someday, a member of the "Mensa" group. wish me good luck :cross

TO Krell
Make a poll asking if Zp members ever read the forum rules b4 posting yr first post or not and i am sure u 'll find most of ZP users are posting everyday hundreds of posts and they didn't read the forum rules. I am also subscribed with so many forums and i haven't got any trouble except with this "thread" where all were mad at me for nothing except for a 20 sec file (go on to mp3.com and u 'll find that u can download sample copyrighted music 4 yr evaluation b4 u buy a CD so what i did wrong ?! - yes i wasn't right when i wrote all in caps but i didn't know the knowing the song's title will be so complex like that - LOL - i am in a trap and an't find a way out (coz i am a meron ) - BTW, i don't hate the forum (i was mistaken in that):blah

I don't think that you are a moron. But when you post a question on a public forum, you will get all kinds of answers. Expect it.

Do I have to point out the "everyone jumps off a bridge analogy"?

They are there to be read. If someone DOESN'T read them, and then breaks them, it's still their fault.

If you didn't know the speed limit on a highway was 65mph (or a metric equivelent), and you didn't obey this limit, and you were pulled over, would you argue, "noone else reads the signs, so I shouldn't either".

I think not.

Your ass is getting fined still......
