Windows 2000vs.WindowsXP

Which is better? Lets say for runnning a game like GTA3 or lots of program at a time...... in anyone has any reviews on the 2 compared to each other post the link or just tell me right now i'm running WinXP Pro with SP1 and all that stuff but i don't have a very strong machine only.........666mhz with 192megram and ATI Radeon 64meg vid.

Dude, you need to juice you Computer up so you can get better performance/enjoyment out of your OS.

Oh, by the way, i run XP Pro, which i think is better, than W2K

if you're running a lot of programs simultaneously, you need more RAM.

consider getting a faster processor as well. you'll need the faster CPU to get a better video card :)

XP has alittle more bloat, but you can fix tht


once you fix the bloat id choose xp anyday, looks better has more crap you dont need, its cool----- once you get rid of some bloat it don look as good- well on my old pc I had to cut xp down a bit but tht was 500mhz celeron witch did run win 200 much better then xp till you cut xp down--- now on my 2.4 ghz p4 533bus theres no need to cut xp down and it kicks win 2000 in the face



but win 2000 may run faster dunno---but nothin tht great to actully use win 2000---- xp is your friend dont belive people who say it sucks--- well yeah it sucks cause its microsft - but wht can you do

win98-2000 u need drivers for alot of stuff, same with linux(well not same as linux but getin there)--- winXP everything 'just works"

if you like toyin around dont use xp , cause xp does most of everything for you

Windows Xp home edition is the best for me.

If you must use XP, please do yourself a favor and use XP Professional.

But IMHO, Windows 2000 is worlds better.

(I re-read your post... 666MHz is a tad on the slow side, so I'd reccomend 2000.)
