Problem: Finished without any result

Recently I reinstalled Kazza Lite version 2.4.1 and now when searching the entire Windows screen flickers and my results flicker "Searched finished without any result". Even when I search things that I know are there, and I should get something, I get nothing. Any thoughts on the subject? Am I missing something, or is there something preventing Kazza Lite from working properly?

Just a long shot, but if you look at the bottom of the window where it displays the amount of users currently "online", is the number ridiculously low like 6, or 100 or something small?

You may have been (and maybe continue to be) connected to a small/bad supernode.

You could also try autosearchmore.

That brings up much more results and because it continually searchs it will be unlikely to say 'searched finished without any result'

If the entire window flickers when youre searching, it may be solved by simply rebooting your computer. If that doesnt do it, I suggest a clean reinstall. Sounds to me like the client just made the system unstable. Thats windows for ya!

The search will start with "performing search waiting results" then quickly flashes: "Search finished without results" and for a milli second will flash "performing search" again. If I minimize the window all my icons are flashing at the same rate as my Kazza search window. It is not like it flashes once to "finished without results and stays there, it flashes between that and "searching". I tried re-installing without much success.

100%, it briefly flashes in-between jumping to the next node. There is no way that every hub you connect to should return no results. I tend to always suspect the service provider, but it could be other things. Sometimes mine will go for a minute trying to find a file with no result and after I manually stop it, then start searching again, it finds results the second time.

I wish I could offer some sort of help rather than simply agreeing it happens.

Problem solved. I unistalled and reinstalled from another site offering Kazaa Lite, not that it should make a difference. Loaded whatever codecs from the site I could find. Crossed my fingers, took a sip of beer, and now it appears to work. Thanks for your help...Bob
