How often/much do you download

This may be a little too much for some to want to answer with all the RIAA crooks running around, but I was wondering how much and often does anyone here download music. You don't have to share what you use, but just how much you download say on a weekly basis. And how safe do you feel downloading and not getting caught?

Just a question for some power users out there that really know their stuff.

share and download as much as you want. It depends on your internet connection and were u are, eg, from american or not. Personally i download an album or so a nite, of non riaa music of course ;). And i share wot people wont of me

It varies day to day.

Some days, no music at all, others, i'm downloading 5 albums.

Where do you find albums? I can never find complete albums on Kazaa or Ares, or any other software I've ever used!

try soulseek, irc, bit torrent. I use soulseek but its more for elctronica/trip hop music than nethin else.

Don't d/l quite as much as I used to. My taste in music leans toward the classic rock of the 70's. After about 2 years of file-sharing, I have most of it. I've lately begun to collect music videos. But on dial-up, this is a slow process. lol

do u store it all on ur harddrive or do u burn data cds to save space?

I'm burning CD's lately, because I've started running out of room (damn you newsgroups!). So after I've listened to it for a bit, I'll burn it as data and then delete it.

Though If I really like it, it stays on the hard drive and gets synched to my mp3 player.

i pay 50 a month for DSL, so im downloading way more then 50 dollars a week. I got most of what i want.. Its just new releases or b-sides im looking for.. I wont share the crap i dont like, it gets deleted and only share what i consider good music.. Heaven forbid i should scare someone away from p2p cause i allowed an illusive mp3 file get sent to his/her way.

I downloading maybe 5-10 songs a month. Even though I have broadband I don't download much.

Well, since i downloaded all the songs that are my favorites, i just try to download the ones that i hear on the radio and if there good, ill download them. Really, i can't think of anything else to download.

I feel very cautious about being caught by the RIAA.

I download music every day, and will not stop. I like alot of underground stuff that mainly comes from Europe. Do you know how much an average IMPORT cd costs? between 35-50 US dollars [after all of the fees]. If i legaly purchased my cd's, I wouldn't have enough money to pay my rent every month! Screw them!
