my adsl isp recently patched it ports.....

earlier only 64kbps speed was promised but we used to get 320kbps......

now since servers are patched we are limited to 64kbps.....

but this shows the technical incapabilities of the stupid company, and i am sure all is not good even now, i have tried ports like 23,21,25,80 they are patches as well.......any ideas ?

I think your ISP is pretty clever, so there wont be any backdoors to the system.

i paid 200$ for installation including ZyXEL modem thingie......

25$ for 100hrs with no download limit..........and 25cents for each xtra hour, worth it?

Actually that's a great deal I think.
Unless your on your pc for more than 3 hours a day, you'll be paying $25 a month for adsl service.
If your using P2P, however, you can racking up the costs.

yea but its like 320 to 64.....big hit. lol i will get over it.......

i havent been able to cross the limit of 100hrs a month so bill is never over 25bucks, its about getting used to things.

You'll get about the same with cable. Although they promise more, you wont get that speed.It also varies according to how much bandwidth is being used in your neighborhood.
I heard DSL speeds were constant.
