got a message from "www.k-lite.tk_improved_kazaa@KaZaA". it says:

Lieber Kazaa Lite User!

Update:
Die deutsche Version von Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.9 ist jetzt verfügbar.

Download: ftp://217.88.206.108/KazaaLite2.4.9 Update.exe

Ihr Kazaa Lite Team

weirdly, the kazaalite site would not show up when i tried to confirm that 2.49 is indded out. so i tried using mozilla instead of ie...and the site appeared. and no, kl 2.49 is not mentioned there...so any ideas?

i couldnt even get the exe from the address that was messaged to me, but if some1 with time could sniff around that ip address (217.88.206.108)...

As far as I can tell all it tells you is their ISP(somebody let me know if I'm wrong). Maybe somebody else can siphon some info from it.I don't know what I was expecting never did a whois on an ip adress before so I thought I'd give it a go.

another fun little site:
UXN Spam Combat (http://combat.uxn.com/)
you can do a traceroute like on NDGAARONDI's link but also ip whois, and also query the ARIN(us) and RIPE (euro) databases.
also another 1 for free anonymous surfing:
@nonymouse (http://nonymouse.com/anonwww.html)

You're welcome, Azathoth. I've always liked IP tracing since I knew about it, take revenge on spammers etc lol
