View Full Version : recording larger than 800mb disks

can any one help me . i am trying to record a 777,000mb film onto an 800,000mb disk but easy cd creator keeps telling me that the disk is only 700,000mb. is there something i can do to let cd creator know that it is a larger disk or is there a software that i can download that will let me record larger projects.
please please someone help

You should try using nero. It has a feature called overburn that will allow you to burn the file. But be sure to know that if you overburn there is the possibility that you can damage your cd writer.
nonetheless you can overburn using nero.

Since you did not post what version of roxio you have I'll tell you how to do it with the version that I have, which is version6. Look down in the bottom left hand corner of the Creator Classic window there should be a picture of a cd(directly to the left of the project size bar). Click on the picture of the disc and select dvd. Since it does not automatically recognize 800 MB discs. You could also try clicking on the disc tab and getting the info for the disc.

i think you mean 800,000 kb. or just 800 mb. You dont need the trailing zeros.
