Napster still has a forum!?
ESV has a forum!

Freenet used to have a forum. Bring it back. Freenet is now ranked #3 for PC programs and with all the concern over privicy it certainly deserves its own forum. After all Freenet is the ONLY 100% anonymous program and the only way to protect yourself.

Firewalls dont work. ESV doesnt work. Only freenet works!

I had no idea there used to be a freenet forum. We should bring it back so people can discuss this program. Freenet is a good program and if it improves the interface then it might become the number 1 p2p program.

I always thought it did have it's own forum.

If it doesn't, like you said, it should.

Freenet only works if deniability is a good argument in a court of law. Not knowing what files your holding may or may not work.
Although I don't deny it's one of the best options out there its not 100% annonymous. Nothing is. The proxy setup is nice but again if they get a comp thats on freenet and find out whats on it that person could be busted for any number of things and deniability would be their strongest aliby. But I agree if it doesn't already it should have a forum.

There wasnt really many posts in it..

Freenet is not meant to be a mainstream p2p program. Its more like Peek-A-Booty meant for letting people who live in countries which restrict or prevent their citizens from viewing things like non-state news sites and etc.

True, but you can say a lot of programs aren't "main stream" p2p apps.

Truth is, it exists, and is a popular topic in the P2P world.

It should have a fourm.

We are all agreed. Former Freenet forums should freely flourish again. Hmm, I cannot think of any more words with the letter F that would fit.

Freenet is not setup to be real user friendly and it does not work like other p2p networks. It is not as simply and it is not really meant to be another fasttrack or whatever.

Every time the RIAA or tradegroup of choice does anything people always bring up freenet and how its going to "be the future" which my problem with that is that its was suppose to have "been the future" over two years ago.

As soon as that stops then any forum would go back to being unused like it was before. I dont like following fads and when it gets added here because a small number of people lobby for it a few weeks later it dies out.

Where does it say Freenet is the third biggest P2P program? I highly doubt that. And like Sephiroth said, it's not meant to be used for file sharing, although it is obviously.

On ZeroPaid.Com home page it is rated the 3rd top program. But ZeroPaid's top 3 change a lot. It wont stay 3 for long.

The ratings are pretty much pointless. People rate all the programs except the one they use all 1s and give a lame reason or spam their favorite program which the give all 5's.

Or even better they rate the program on political or reasons which have nothing to do with the program itself. Those are usually some of the funniest ones.

Personally id just like to see it just randomly pick a few programs. At least that way people might take a look at some more diverse programs and itd actually be fair.

I agree Freenet, isn't worth a forum, since only 6 people have asked for it, i'm not trying to demean freenet, it does appear good, but the ratings are inaccurate, i look at the number of downloads for a program at download.com to see it's success. I think Sephiroth's biggest point is that if there was a forum it would get little post

I would really like a freenet forum, even if it doesn't get so many posts, because it appears to be the future of p2p; not to say that we will all use freenet someday or even "frostazaa" or whatever the future direct heir turns out to be, I mean the way pitiful gnutella was the future in that the fasttracks stole all that was good from it. I think everything will soon be sneakier, more secure, more es5/blubster/waste whatever

It seems kind of wrong to learn about freenet advances (I know, there aren't a lot) from their site or even the ap first, whereas someone disses Bob Dylan we have on-the-spot coverage, maybe a forum would help even that up? *shrugs* Probably not, not yet, no rush, think about it again six months from now

sephiroth is right about the ratings, I would have much rather had a hit-counter thing running it like unique pass-throughs to the actual download BUT I'm sure not complaining now that it's showing all 3 of the things people want, please don't fix what isn't broke

I didn't say napster deserved a forum but why open more, then people will make cases for a forum about Computer Fantasy leagues (fantasy football) andthe napster forum might start back up, as napster starts up once again.

Well, lets get rid of a redundant forum.

Like Cool technology vs. Zeropaid Technology. And the difference is....?

why do work for no real good reason
yeah freenet should have a forum good
so post some freenet stuff in a more general forum
if there gets to be a glut of it everyone will be hopping to get it its own place wont they
as for cleaning things up to suit you no one pays these guys
one of them will drop or snort or inhale something good someday soon and grin-and-bear-it and afterwards everything will be scrubbed bloody with chunks out in places
and then the crust will begin to grow again
