I've heard that using two firewalls isn't good. What's not good about it? I currently use McAfee and Windows XP firewalls. :mellow

Not really. I mean since one will pretty much handle everything having another one really isnt neccessary but should cause any problems.
Might use a little more computer resources running two at once but that isnt really a big deal or anything.

It causes programs not to work, online games not to connect, and sites not to open. Offcourse, if you don't experience any probs you can keep em both.
And if you get rid of one of the two firewalls, get rid of the win xp one.

Windows XP Firewall does not realy do all that much anyhow. I think it may stop incoming connections to a certain degree but I believe it does not scan outbound traffic. So if you downloaded something nasty and it was trying to call home or spread the xp firewall would allow it.

The Win XP firewall is nearly as much protection as off-brand 1 ply toilet paper that fell in the bowl for half an hour.........

The best firewall out there is my fist damn it, when a some punk ass bitch trys shit with me they'll meet my fist! Well actually after going almost 2 weeks with out a firewall since my pc crashed i went ahead and got norton 2003 firewall which was shitty so i went back to zone alarm pro which works wonders. When using norton all ingoing and outgoing traffic was blocked. I could have fixed it but hell im lazy. Hmm looks like i went on a rant so anywayz i did not like the xp firewall lacks many options but they all suck donky balls anywayz so i just closed my eyes and picked.

LoL. Anyways, I have never used a firewall and I've been on broadband for 6months now. Haven't had a problem yet. I tried getting firewalls but it's just to hard for me to configure and get p2p apps to work with it.

I haven't had any connectivity prob's with anything...yet. But I will keep that in mind. I guess in all, it's pretty unnecessary(sp?) to have two firewalls then.
