need help damn computer here! i just got that new damn virus thats out and updated norton got rid of it supposedly i think cause i cant find msblast.exe running nor can i find it on my computer anywhere now i deleted the registry key it uses and now i get the generic host process win32 blalh blah blah saying svchost.exe is scred up and then the little box sayinng RPC thingy remote procedure protocall has fudged up and ur computer will restart in 1minute!! anyone have an idea of how to sole this what is massive problem to be cause now i can't do shit online

what RPC thingy? the computer tells you that it will restart in a minute? what OS r u? more info with at least 60% less spelling mistakes

sorry about the spelling mistakes, its very late at night. its the Remote Procedure Call program. a little box pops up under WINDOWS XP Professional this just started happening today august 11th 2003 after i found out i had the msblaster virus but i supposedly got rid of it but this error! stiil comes around after being onlie for up to 5mins and says NTAdministrator ....... the REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL (RPC) has encounterd an eror and your computer will restart in 00.60seconds

I think he's talking about the worm being discussed in the " Windows worm starts its spread" thread (lol I rhyme, GO AZA, GO AZA)
I totally agree more info needed. But mr. Zoot go to the aforementioned thread ( do a search for it) and get some info on it. theres a link (on the first post "Patch info") there to a support page on the MS website with an OS specific patch d/l link down toward the botttom of the page.

Have you tried using the search option yet? I found three recent threads on this subject already.

Keep an eye on these as an answer may pop up... There are many new threads popping up on this subject that the answer may never reach you unless you search and keep up to date. I would subscribe to those threads to keep up on it.. Hope it helps.
