i was just wondering how many people use shareaza to download movies with? I got fed up with kazaa because it couldn't find any sources for the movie i was trying to download which just came out in the theater. I had tried emule/ the donkey network but on 56k and just 1 phone line i couldn't wait in the "long wait slots" so i just took the actual file name using k-dat and looked it up on shareaza and it found many sources altho i had to wait in the "wait slot" it was only about 5 or 6ppl and 1 in some so woola

Shareaza doesn't have it's own network, but it uses existing network like eDonkey, Gnutella and BitTorrent.
So you are not gaining any advantage over other P2P clients .
Your best solution is to drop the 56k and go broadband.

Shareaza supports the original gnutella and g2 as well as bittorent edonkey.
You can download just about anything on shareaza.
I have downloaded many such files in various formats.
The best way to make sure that the file that your getting is legit make sure that you have a hash for it and many sources.
If its an avi, mpg file or etc use avi previewer to make sure such file is legit.
anyhow files are also dependent on who you download it from.

Shareaza's network IS Gnutella2... so yes, it does have its own network (however tiny it may be).
Also, 56k isn't as easy to drop as some people think. Definitally go with broadband if it is possible, but don't sweat it if the option is not there at the moment.

i find that the g2 network is very good for getting alot of files programs and such and now i'm adding movies to that list and i'm just talking about g2 not the donkey and bittorent which are all in shareaza

My new network of choice is overnet.
I love it, not as speedy as kazaa but i get decent speed, plus real files, error checking, and sharereactor.

I have recently started using shareaza again. Not for the Gnutella network but for Bittorrent, not really advisable to use Bittorrent on 56 though.
It has has problems in the past with completing or moving the finished file. But Ive had no problems now for the last few weeks, hopefully it may have been sorted in the latest release.

overnet is great, it's not as fast as kazaa, but it's still more authentic, and offers more sources than bitorrent

If you can't get broadband you'll going to have a hell of a time with a movie. However, I'd use G2, G1 or FastTrack for anything without broadband.
Also, use files from PeerWeb (http://www.peerweb.org) and ShareLive (http://www.sharelive.com) (when it's up again). They have lotsa sources and are verfied. A fake on 56K, download a movie for weeks :hole
