My all-time favorites are chess, checkers and backgammon, because they can be improvised and played virtually anywhere, and the rules are simple enough to explain to people, even if they don't speak your language. I have played all three all over the world, from the spider and mosquito infested jungles of Grenada to the arid mountain steppes of Turkey.

Favorite COMPUTER game. Well, I spent more TIME playing EverQuest than any other computer game ever, from beta 3, prior to its initial release, and for several years after. So I guess that would be my favorite computer game, but its time has come and gone.

Gameboy Tetris use to kick ass...

I recall playing for hours in this dank small projection booth as a child...ahmm...memories...

Bubble Bobble was another fav for GB back then...

Anyone remember Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle (the first one...)? I was addicted to that game for months...lol

FYI to those who have never heard of it...

Basically you are Bug's and all the 'evil' guys walk back an forth and shit...

Theres levels an objects that'll knock them out..you collect carrots and all that...

Like a puzzle game mixed with an action one...totally kick ass in B&W with a mono speaker pumping out the odd but neat tune....

my favorite games probably has to be legend of zelda ocarina of time (majoras mask was kind of lame), grand theft auto vice city on ps2 (it does get boring after awhile), kingdom hearts on ps2, and quake3 arena on pc, it never gets old, ive been playing since 2000.

ccsdude, is the bugs bunny game the one with all the pipes and youd have to go up and down in them? i remember that game, used to have it, but i lost it.

i also liked zelda link to the past on the snes, allthough i could never get past the first dungeon in the dark world.

Yup...had to hit those pipes at just the right time to miss that one bugger...he was pretty quick lol

A Link To The Past was easy for me...great game though the dude who created all the Zelda games really does have that magic touch when it comes to drawing you in....

I'm kinda shocked nobody mentioned these yet but my favorite game of all time is Metal Gear Solid on PS1. Though I did enjoy MGS2 a bit better I still like MGS1 because of it's less convoluted storyline.

Zelda: A Link To The Past for SNES all the way.
Zelda 1 for Regular Nintendo is a close second.
BTW, I think GTAIII and Vice City are both incredibly stupid, poorly concieved messes. Mafia is 100 times better than either.

My favorite system is PS2.

My favorite game is Grand theft auto vice city. I think this was the best game ever for ps2.

For the PC, my favorite games were Doom 2 and Quake 2.

i like the super mario games too.

But i see that XBOX is coming out with a lot of good online games and shit.

I have a lot of systems too, i have the original nintendo, super nintendo, playstation one, ps2, nintendo 64, game gear, game boy color, and sega genesis. Oh yeah i have atari i think the name is. i can't find it though, probably in the attic.

I could really go on for hours... I reckon that I have played more than 3000 video games in my life...

FFVII... best story, most fun, sweet game!

FFIX and FFVI run right behind this.

I love Super Metroid

Donkey Kong for the Game Boy is fucking incredible... all gameplay and puzzles. Insanely fun and expands on DK, SMB2, and Lode Runner gameplay elements.

I love RE2.

I will post no more because I am starting to look up other shit and decide upon each game's individual merits.

I am also going to weigh in on the GTA debate... GTA:VC is better than GTAIII... it has more to do and some pretty creative ideas. Plus, it is pretty on my computer.

Theres also a secret of mana 2 that was also released on the snes in japan only called Seiken Densetsu 3. You can get a transted rom for your emulator to play on the PC
