The only thing that Audiogalaxy had over Napster was you never had to worry about being disconnected, it just kept looking for new sources. With Audiogalaxy you could download all your music, go to bed and wake up with new music. But Audiogalaxy you could get the old plus the new music.

Audiogalaxy was great for its sheer number of files available. The thing is, the blocking system took out a lot of potential downloads and kept it from being the best music file-sharing program ever. Until AG finally blocked those songs from being shared in groups, you COULD get any song you ever wanted to. No program ever matched the number of rare mp3s and remixes that AG had. Also, I gained so much music knowledge from AG. The ability to click a few times and have a 100 songs queued up was unbelievable.

napster was the best, hands down. I never liked ag due to its web interface.

I myself liked Napster, I could find everything that I wanted and it was easy, however I never tried AG because of the web interface and why should I have when I had Napster? Why am I even replying to this post if I didn't use AG? Sorry for the lack of intelligent input!:upside

i prefered napsters interface as it was not web based however i believe ag was better due to the amount of files and the rare music you were able to find

I never had a chance to use Napster, but I was impressed with the fact that I found every song I couldn't find elsewhere on AG.:fire :fire :fire

I really liked AG. Though I never had a chance to try Napster myself, I've heard great things about it, so to me, both will be missed. :(

Napster was the best I found ANYTHING an EVERYTHING I ever wanted on Napster, only downside was if you got a transfer error you had to start over. But the interface kicked ass - simple yet functional. I would have liked KL or morphues to have the same look with the added features - resume DL's all types of files. But oddly enough I wouldn't want to change anything on the old napster even if it meant mp3's were the only thing to DL since there was a shit load of rare file's that I haven't found on any other P2P network since then. Damn metalica that prick dug himself a deep hole when he pulled that shit, anyone get the scoop on that hacks CD sales? I bet there down to shit

Peace all, Later

napster looked and played out better without no confusion, but downloads and uploads were so slow that many users would get frustrated or just pissed off and cut you off (error transfer) even if you only lacked 2 seconds left. AG on the other hand had as many if not more files before blocking and you never got cut off nor knew whom you were uploading too or downloading from and i could build whole libraries with no hassles. kazaalite is the closest thing today for speed, only needs users to share rare mp3's from sixties punk , psych, blues, british beat bands and "local" unsigned bands to be great !!!!!!
