Riaa Prowling Irc Networks?

Does anyone on here know if the RIAA is or has been scouring the various irc networks, looking for copywrite violators? ie. efnet, undernet ect.?

from what I have been reading they are monitoring all networks.....

I'm sure they have some kind of monitoring on the major networks. Most people think that is why DALnet began forbidding fserv channels as so they would stop getting hounded by the music industry or would prevent it from happening in the first place.

I'm not going to share on EfNet anymore, that's for sure! Besides, there's nothing but leechers on there.
It's time to move to private ftp! :)

I'm sure they have some bots preying the networks. But technically they can't bust you for downloading, only sharing.
