um this is just a general question but what program is the best bet for p2p performance in overall categories such as: search results, download speed, users, stability, if-it-is-not-hardability, and if it was made by canadians or some country we never heard of and so we cannot sue them, how many users there are, the system resources, in-program capabilities and all that crap...

That's a rather deep question.

K++ has the most users. It's users are under attack. It's features are questionable. (Where's Partial File Sharing? What about Connection Compression? Why need Search More if original search is at least as global as Gnutellas?)

Grokster... no experiance.

Shareaza has the most features by far (well, except anonymity) It hasn't had a real stable release in awhile. G2 hasn't been proven in my eyes. I'd still use individual apps thus far. Does have the most and best features though.

Freenet is probably the most advanced. It is anonymous too. Can't search in the traditional sense, but you can just browse around for what you want. Does still make it a little hard to get content. Browsing speed is still slow (Hope NGRouting helps). Download speed is as fast as your computer can handle (I mean it's ram and cpu, not bandwidth)

That's just my short takes.

Later,

Isamoor

The problem with Kazaa is twice fold. First of all, it is dangerous to use Kazaa because it is targetted by the RIAA and being that Kazaa offers absolutely no security, I would suggest you dont use Kazaa.

The other reason is Kazaa has infested over 200 million computers with Spyware. That means that if you share using Kazaa or even K++, your peer could be sending your IP address and the file that he uploaded or downloaded from you to a third party computer.

Freenet is great, but it is so advanced that most people cant figure out how to use it, thus it doesnt have as many users as perhaps it should.

ES5 is great for security and they are doing a lot of interesting things like verified files, streaming movies online for free (you can watch 2fast2furious or terminator 3 online for free), and alot more. The P2P program is very well developed. Also, there is no spyware.
